Luis Alberte Gonzalez (Founder). At Miyagi Ken, our goal is to contribute to the physical and mental training of children, young adults, and adults to become better human beings under the discipline, spirit, legitimacy and tradition of Japanese Karate Do Sh*to Ryu. With more than 40 years of experience, our School has formed, integral karatekas and excellent athletes with remarkable national and international trajectory. "... the teaching of Karate Do, as a physical and spiritual activity, is for me both a personal inclination and a family tradition, initiated by my father and Master Luis Alberte Gonzalez, founder of the Dojo Miyagi Ken." Newly adopted as an Olympic Sport, our karate program include all levels, Beginners, Intermediate, Advanced, and High Performance. Classes are led by the Shiham Luis Alberte, 6th Dan, director of "Miyagi Ken International ( Sh*toryu Karate Do Academy). This will be the first Dojo in the State of Texas, endorsed by the USA Sh*to Kai. Individuals of all ages will be trained and developed according to the highest and most authentic principles that govern this discipline.

Proud of all our athletes competing in Yokohama, Japan. 🇯🇵🥋
Being there, in the birthplace of Karate-Do, competing at such a high level and surrounded by outstanding representatives of Sh*to-Ryu, is an experience that goes far beyond the result.
Every round, every performance, and every athlete on the tatami becomes an opportunity to learn, grow, and be inspired.
This level reminds us how much there is still to learn — and motivates us to keep training with greater discipline, humility, and determination.
Congratulations to all of you for your courage, effort, and dedication. Take home from Japan the most valuable part of this experience: learning, inspiration, and the motivation to keep growing as karateka.
