✨Room for Healing #3✨
Once a year, I have the privilege of donating my design services to create a Room for Healing — a complete room transformation for a family impacted by Cancer.
My goal was to create a bedroom that felt peaceful, warm and uplifting — a place to retreat, rest and simply feel at home. I always involve the recipient in the design process. They loved this blush and off-white thin striped wallpaper. I used the wallpaper as the first layer of the design and worked from there to create a layered room, including natural wood, soft color, vintage-inspired pattern and lots of texture to give the room personality while still keeping it calm and comforting.
I believe our surroundings can affect how we feel, and this project is such a beautiful reminder of why I love what I do. The recipient family is so thrilled with the room (the recipient even told me that she wakes up in the morning and can't believe this is her room and said, "this bed in this room deserves to be set!"). I love that!

In the beginning years of starting my business, I made it a goal of mine to start an annual complimentary room design for a family that was directly affected by cancer or other severe chronic illness. I had lost too many family members and a best friend and wanted to honor them by improving the lives of others that were struggling. I named it Room for Healing.
For the last 3 years, thanks to your generous donations, I was able to design rooms for families struggling with chronic illnesses. You can view the before and after images of this year's room transformation and feel good about the impact you had on their lives.
