Heaven's Windows will be closed on Friday, June 19th to celebrate the Juneteenth holiday.

Senior Community Service Employment Program

SCSEP is a community service and work-based training program for older workers. Authorized by the Older Americans Act, the program provides subsidized, service-based training for low-income persons at least 55 years of age who are unemployed and have poor employment prospects. Participants in SER SCSEP come from all walks of life, have diverse work experiences, and possess various levels of education.

We were thrilled to be invited to the HandsOn San Diego VolunCHEERS event honoring outstanding volunteers in our community. I was tasked with bringing expressions of appreciation for the many volunteers that Heaven's Windows has been blessed from their help.

When the last bell rings at the end of the school year, San Diego children are cut off from the healthy meals they get each day at school. Heaven’s Windows will provide the Summer Food Service program will help provide meals to children during the summer. Check out our website for meal sites, www.heavenswindows.org

We attended Feeding San Diego Agency Annual Summit. Great information and networking with like minded people serving our community. We love working with our East County coordinator, Pragyan Mishra.

The Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive was a huge success thanks to our neighbors in Spring Valley. We collected over 14,000 pounds of food with the help of HandsOn San Diego volunteers, our staff and family, and a special guest, Representative Sara Jacobs.

The Stamp Out Hunger bags have arrived! Saturday is the food drive.

We are hosting a booth at the East County Probation Resource Fair at the El Cajon Courthouse. Providing information about our food pantry and summer meals for kids to our community.
