Heaven's Windows

Thank you to the sisters of the Progressive Baptist District Association, San Diego for their donation of 495 lbs. of rice and beans to our food pantry. It will go to good use in our community!

We had plenty of help from this wonderful group of students from the Sweetwater High School District during the Produce Hub Distribution today. We worked them really hard!

We are so grateful for our partnership with the San Diego Food Bank and they're awareness of the struggles and concerns that food hunger agencies face every day. With the generous capacity building grant, we were able to stretch those dollars to purchase two freezers, one refrigerator and a conveyor belt. Thank you so much!

Heaven's Windows has blessed with our partnership with Senior Gleaners receiving these donations.

Senior Gleaners help feed the hungry by gathering surplus crops and unsold groceries for food distributors across San Diego County.

In 2025, they picked 242,330 pounds of crops to donate.

Heaven's Windows will be closed for Labor Day, Monday, September 7.

We are so proud of our partnership with Campo Education Center for over 12 years providing food to feed the Campo Band of Mission Indians. With resources from the San Diego Food Bank, we are making it work for this community.

In 2014, Heaven’s Windows launched our Child Nutrition Program with the dedicated service of four remarkable women: Freddy Horton, Juanita Ramirez, Olivia Jones, and Annie Carmichael. We are deeply saddened to share that Olivia Jones, pictured in the middle, has passed on to her heavenly rest. For many years, Olivia also worked tirelessly in our Food Distribution Program. We loved and appreciated her servant’s heart, and she will be greatly missed. Each of these women has been a treasured part of Heaven’s Windows, faithfully sharing her love of God through service to others. Well done, good and faithful servant.

Paradise Creek Apartments in National City has an afterschool program for the residents facilitated by Community Housing Works. Our partner, Martiza Davita-Nash does a wonderful job of serving these kids.
