Thank you, God, for always revealing your beauty and power in all of nature. It’s amazing and humbling to know just how to draw me closer to you through sunrises, sunsets, stars, and storms. I’m so grateful that you dwell within us, spurring us to desire gathering as a community in your name. How awesome it is that I’m free to meet with you anywhere, whether it be in a worship building, sanctuary, amphitheater, chapel, or open field.
I see you, God, in the people you’ve created and are still creating all over the world. And I also see you in all the wild things everywhere. Help me remember that I can lean on you and learn from you inside structures that humans have designed for worship or healing, and I can also live out my faith beyond any walls that have been built.Wherever we gather to praise you and learn to love others, we are your church.

Prayer at its highest is a two-way conversation - and for me the most important part is listening to God's replies.

It’s easy to open our phones before we open the Word.

We scroll for advice, encouragement, validation, and answers—but not everything that sounds deep is biblical, and not everything that goes viral is truth.

Social media can encourage you, but it was never meant to disciple you.

Before you let a post shape what you believe, ask:
Is this aligned with God’s Word?
Is this feeding my spirit or just my feelings?
Is this drawing me closer to Jesus?

Your timeline is not your foundation.
Your favorite influencer is not your shepherd.
Your algorithm is not the voice of God.

“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” — Psalm 119:105

Before you scroll, sit with Scripture. Let God’s Word be louder than the world and His truth—not what’s trending—be your standard.

The feed will keep changing. **The Word of God remains.**

Whomever is reading I pray this over you as well.

Heavenly Father, Your word in Deuteronomy 28:12 says, “The Lord will open the heavens, the storehouse of His bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands.”

I claim this promise today! Let my professional and financial endeavors bear fruit in abundance. May I live a prosperous life filled with divine grace and endless blessings. Amen.

Listening is so quiet we can forget its value. People long to be heard. Being heard is wired into being known. When we actively listen; eye contact, focus, appropriate nodding, reiteration, it shows invested interest. And amidst the words you’ll hear their Heart with ribbon...listen for it.

Listening to God is far more important than giving Him your ideas.

SOMETIMES I SOUND LIKE MOSES
“But Moses said to God, ‘Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the children of Israel out of Egypt?’ He said, ‘But I will be with you.’” Exodus 3:11–12 ESV
Good morning, Sisterfriend.
If I am honest, sometimes I sound just like Moses.
“Lord, who am I?”
“Are You sure You chose the right person?”
“How can I possibly do what You are asking me to do?”
I can see my weaknesses. I know the places where I have been wounded. I remember my mistakes, and sometimes I feel the weight of everything I cannot do on my own.
But when Moses asked, “Who am I?” God did not give him a list of his qualifications. God gave him a promise: “I will be with you.”
That is the answer.
God uses brokenness, and God uses broken people. Your weakness does not cancel your calling. Your past does not disqualify your purpose. God is not asking you to move forward in your own strength—He is asking you to trust His presence.
Jesus said, “Apart from Me you can do nothing.” But with Him, you have everything you need to respond to what He is asking of you.
So today, when doubt whispers, “Who do you think you are?” answer it with, “I belong to the great I AM—and He is with me.”
Feelings may change. Seasons may change. Flowers and grass may fade. But what our God has spoken will never change.
Even as you look through the Bible and the people God used them - God STILL used them to do amazing things for HIS glory. Still think you’re too messed up for Him to use you? God specializes in using broken people to do powerful things. Are you flawed? GOOD. God can use you!”
He has promised to be with you today. It’s not about who you are. It’s about who He is.

THE MASKS WE WEAR: WHEN THE KINGDOM OF SELF LOOKS CHRISTIAN
Something can look spiritual on the outside while self is still sitting on the throne inside.
We can worship but want to be noticed.
We can serve but become angry when no one thanks us.
We can obey—but only when the instruction agrees with what we already want.
We can say, “I’m fine,” because we are afraid of what might happen if we tell the truth.
In this week’s Cup of Soul, Candis and I continue through Chapter 6, “The Costume Kingdom,” from Paul David Tripp’s A Quest for More.
We are talking about the masks of worship, obedience, ministry, strength, control, and people-pleasing. We also discuss the difference between a mask that hides our motives and a mask developed for survival after our pain has been mishandled.
This conversation is not about condemnation. It is about allowing God to ask the same question He asked in Genesis:
“Where are you?”
Not your title.
Not your ministry.
Not your accomplishments.
Not the version of you everyone else sees.
Where are you?
