Do you ever find yourself waiting for the “perfect” moment to slow down and spend time with God?
Maybe you've heard that spending time with God looks like an early morning quiet time with a cup of coffee, a journal and complete silence. And while those moments are beautiful, they're not the only way to be with Him.
God isn't waiting for you to find the perfect, uninterrupted moment to meet with Him. He's already with you — in the grocery store; in the carpool line; and while you're making dinner, answering emails, or folding another load of laundry. He isn't distant, waiting for you to slow down; He's present in every moment, inviting you to do life with Him.
Deuteronomy 31:8 reminds us: "The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged" (NIV).
So if life feels too chaotic to slow down and spend time with God, take heart — He's not asking you to pause everything to find Him. He's right there in the middle of your busy day, delighting in every moment you turn your heart toward Him.
Where is one unexpected place you've felt God's presence lately?
“Devotions is only an appropriate word when we are having
the devotions with the Person we are devoted to.”

Have you ever noticed how quickly our hearts can run toward things we think will satisfy us? More success. More approval. More control. More answers. Yet Psalm 16 gently reminds us that every good thing we truly need is found in God.
David begins with a simple prayer: “Preserve me, O God, for in You I take refuge.” He knew where to run when life felt uncertain. Not to people. Not to possessions. Not to his own strength. He ran to the presence of God.
As women, we often carry many responsibilities and wear many hats. We pour into our families, our work, our ministries, and our relationships. But there comes a moment when we must ask ourselves: What am I looking to for security, peace, and fulfillment? Psalm 16 reminds us that there is no good apart from Him. Everything else will eventually leave us empty, but God never will.
The beautiful invitation in this passage is not simply to believe in God, but to delight in Him. To find our refuge in Him. To rest in His faithfulness. To remember that His presence is not another task on our to-do list—it is the safest place for our weary hearts.
Today, let your soul settle. Let go of the pressure to find what only God can provide. His goodness is enough. His grace is enough. His presence is enough.
Sisterfriend, when the world feels loud and uncertain, run back to the One who has always been your refuge. You were never meant to carry life alone.
Father, thank You that each person in Your flock is uniquely created with different personalities, gifts, strengths, and struggles. Help us not to compare ourselves to others or expect everyone to walk exactly the same journey. Teach us to extend grace, patience, and understanding to one another, just as You lovingly shepherd each of us according to our needs.
Lord, help us embrace the way You created us while continuing to grow in Christlike character. Let our differences become opportunities for compassion, unity, and love instead of division or judgment. As our Good Shepherd, lead each of us gently, wisely, and personally according to Your perfect care.
Thank You for knowing every detail about us and still calling us Your own. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Freedom is sacred — not just the kind granted by man, but the kind only God can give.
We celebrate the breaking of chains, the lifting of burdens, and the dignity of every soul made in His image. May we never take for granted the freedom we have, and may we keep working toward justice, love, and unity through Christ.
“When we’re distracted and discouraged, tired and overwhelmed, there is no better place to go than to our Father. He alone has what we need. Don’t snivel under a broom tree. Don’t hide in a broom closet. Go to the Lord and let him sweep away your discouragement.”

One of the things I love most about Psalm 27 is that David did not write it from a place of comfort. He wrote it in the middle of uncertainty, betrayal, and trouble. Yet instead of beginning with his problems, he began with God.
“The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?” (Psalm 27:1)
David reminds us that faith is not pretending life is easy. Faith is choosing to remember what is true about God when life feels hard. Before David talked about his enemies, he talked about his God. Before he described his circumstances, he declared God’s character.
How often do we do the opposite? We replay our fears, our frustrations, and our unanswered questions. Yet David teaches us a better way. He preached truth to his own heart.
The Lord is my light.
The Lord is my salvation.
The Lord is my stronghold.
Notice the word my. David’s theology was personal. God was not just a light. He was David’s light. God was not just a stronghold. He was David’s stronghold.
The same is true for us today.
When life does not make sense, we can remind ourselves that God has not changed. When we cannot see the way forward, He remains our light. When we feel overwhelmed, He remains our refuge. When we are weary from waiting, He remains our strength.
Today, instead of focusing on what is uncertain, focus on what is unchanging. God is still faithful. God is still present. God is still good.
And because He is, you can remain confident.
When life doesn’t make sense, I will remind myself of what is true about God. ✍🏽
Heavenly Father, help us become spiritually focused men and women whose hearts are centered on You above everything else. In the middle of busy lives, responsibilities, and distractions, teach us to keep our eyes fixed on Your presence and Your voice.
Give us a deeper hunger for prayer, worship, Your Word, and quiet moments with You. Help us not to become consumed with temporary things while neglecting what nourishes our souls. Let our minds, hearts, and decisions be guided by Your Spirit each day.
Lord, create within us a desire to seek You first in every season. May our lives reflect women who walk closely with Jesus, trust deeply, and remain spiritually attentive to what truly matters. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
