Dictionary Hill is the very heart of Spring Valley community in San Diego's East County. This 1,059 foot mountain, and Bancroft Creek Canyon which lies along its northeastern slope, together comprise one of the largest remaining areas of undeveloped open space and San Diegan Coastal Sage Scrub Habitat on the urban fringe in this area.
