Providing exceptional residential care for adults with disabilities since 1983. Work and a paycheck are important aspects of daily life.

With dreams, hope and dedication, Noah Homes opened in 1983 and over the next 20 years grew to become a dynamic community on 11 acres in the rural outskirts of San Diego. Happy ! We are thankful for the incredible cultural institutions (like museums, for example) that enrich the lives of everyone in San Diego, especially those of our residents. Today, we're throwing it back to the late '90s, when the folks had the opportunity to visit the San Diego Natural History Museum while "The Dinosaurs of Jurassic Park: The Lost World" was on view. You might spot a few familiar faces. 🀭

Over the weekend, the folks attended the Silver Gate Yacht Club's annual Wheelchair Regatta. The Wheelchair Regatta is a "Day on the Bay" for individuals with disabilities, featuring food, fun, music, and community. Thank you to all of the amazing volunteers and staff who made this day special!

Sandra Rocco-Melville has worked at Noah Homes for nearly 40 years. Our Director of Program Development, Kim Keane, sat down with her recently to chat about how she got involved with Noah Homes, her favorite work memories, and the importance of maintaining the joy, safety, security, and privacy of our 90 residents.

Moved by Sandra's story? We encourage you to donate to our 2nd Annual Weekend of Giving! All proceeds raised this weekend will go toward our Safety Enhancement Road Project, which will allow us to reroute public traffic away from our residents' homes and directly to our Community Center.

Thanks to a grant from Ability Central and a new partnership with Outside The Lens & San Diego Media Makers, we've been able to host multimedia courses at Noah Homes. Last Saturday, course instructors Anna and Melanie from Media Makers taught the folks all about different types of camera shots, and the group took to the outdoors to capture the world around them. They ended their session with a lesson on how to use a green screen using the footage they captured.

Thank you so much, Ability Central and Outside The Lens, for this amazing opportunity! We're so excited for our future classes.

Last week, Tirzah, Jenny, Christina, and Jacquelyn went on a girls’ trip with Residential Manager, Danell and Executive Director, Sandra, to Arizona! The ladies stayed at a beautiful home along the Colorado River in Parker, AZ, and went on countless adventures to places like Lake Havasu, Oatman, and the Grand Canyon.
