Everybody wants a strong church.
Nobody wants to clean.
Nobody wants to give.
Nobody wants to serve.
Nobody wants to pray.
Nobody wants to encourage the pastor.
But everybody wants to complain.
You demand strong preaching, but where is your strong support?
You expect the pastor to carry the burdens, solve the problems, visit the sick, preach the Word, disciple the people, counsel the hurting, and hold the church together while you sit comfortably in the pew and criticize what you never help build.
Then when the church becomes weak, divided, and discouraged, you blame the pastor.
That is hypocrisy.
God never intended one man to carry the whole church.
Strong churches are not built by spectators. They are built by believers united in Jesus and filled with the Holy Spirit.
Stop asking why your church is weak.
Look in the mirror.
"Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ." Galatians 6:2 kjv
God did not command pastors alone to carry every burden. He commanded believers to bear one another's burdens. If your pastor is collapsing while you are comfortable, you are not obeying this verse.
"And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:
Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching." Hebrews 10:24-25 kjv
Notice that God did not say, "Let the pastor do everything."
He said, "Let us."
Not him.
Us.
A weak church is not always proof of a weak pastor.
Sometimes it is proof of weak members who have mastered criticism but never learned commitment.
Many churches are starving, not because they lack a faithful shepherd, but because they are filled with consumers instead of servants.
Everybody wants revival.
Few are willing to help build it.
