Ever opened a large assembly in SOLIDWORKS and then waited and waited for it to actually load?

Detailing mode allows you to open those large assemblies in seconds.

This feature was rolled out in 2020 and made even better in 2021 to allow you to do hole callouts, edit any type of dimension or annotation, or add a detail, break, and crop view.

If you aren't already using this, maybe it can give you back a few extra minutes!

Welcome to the team, David!

David joined the PE team in February as a Mechanical Design Engineer

He has experience in design and machining complex parts, specifically in the medical device industry

David also has a personal 3D printer he enjoys using to create projects for his friends, family and for his cats

David also enjoys traveling and spending time outside with his wife

Meet Justeene!

Justeene joined the PE team in February as a CAD Designer

She has her Associates in Mechanical Design and has experience in woodworking and as a CAD Specials Engineer in furniture

In her free time Justeene loves to sew

We are thrilled to have Justeene on the team and are excited for all our clients to get a chance to work with her

Big News!

Scott has been promoted to Director of Operations!

With his background and skill set, it is a natural fit for Scott to move into this new role.

We have had a busy few months moving to a new space, adding new employees, The Wierengas added a baby to the family and another big announcement we can share in the next couple weeks!

Here are a few photos of our new space with more to come.

If you ever visited our old space you will notice how much of an improvement this is! We have a dedicated warehouse space which will give us the ability to add additional machine building capabilities!

Today is Scott's Birthday! We hope is it a great one!

We have some new faces at Perception Engineering!

Scott has been with us since November and has already become an essential part of the team.

Scott Tompsett is a West Michigan native and a graduate of Ferris State University. He has been working in the automotive and automation industry for over 15 years as a project engineer and project manager.

In his free time, he enjoys time with his family and working on dirt bike projects. Scott started riding when he was 8 and he has had a variety of bikes in the garage ever since.

We'd love for you to help us welcome him to our team!
