Pom Mom Rescue
We are a small non-profit dog rescue for pomeranians. All dogs that enter the Rescue are brought up to date on vaccines and spayed/neutered if necessary.
They live in a home with other pomeranians. Their medical/health review includes a heart-worm test, intestinal worm test, health check up, dental check up and overall review. They are then evaluated for socialization skills. Once the evaluation is complete, they will be put up for adoption or remain at the rescue. Dogs that remain at the rescue are not adoptable due to behavioral issues. At some time in the future, should the circumstances change, they will be placed in the adoption area.

Today Sparky crossed the rainbow bridge. His chronic bronchitis and collapsing trachea just got the best of him. Then he started limping and today 2 legs were causing him to have difficulty standing. He was my youngest. He should have been with me the longest. He was my shadow. Sparky had to know where I was at all times. Sparky was definitely the smartest pom I ever had. It took two days of observation and then he knew what to do. When he first arrived at Pom Mom, Riot was here. He was so attached to Riot. He learned everything from him in the short time they were together. So Sparky, there are 17 other pom mommers who will be with you. One is Riot. Now you can breathe normal and walk without pain. They say only the Good Die Young and you are definitely that. I will miss you dearly my Sparky Plug!!
I want to thank all the people who have supported the rescue. One thing I learned, is that the people who are closest to you, should believe and support your cause. This page will be removed shortly.
With a heavy heart, I want to let you know that Emma passed on Tuesday December 17, 2024. She had hurt herself and was unable to move from her right side to her left side of her bed without screaming. Moving from her left side to her right side was the only function Emma could accomplish on her own. I could not bear to see her in pain. This decision was extremely difficult. But now Emma is able to walk by herself, feed herself, get up from bed whenever she wants.
She would jump in her car and flip out, head first, to the floor. Her front legs could not support or break her fall. I told her she was not GUMBY and she would hurt herself if she continued. Well, I believe she hurt herself.
Emma was such a loving dog. She would always kiss me when putting on her diaper. She always wanted to be in my arms. Emma, I miss you. Your car is still sitting here waiting for you. I am unable to move it at this time.
