So you say you can’t breathe in a corset?
This Casta Diva Apparel moment from the Bay Area Renaissance Festival in Dade City, Florida, answers that question with a song.
Captured on March 1, 2024, this clip shows that a properly fitted corset can provide structure and support while still allowing movement, personality, and even a little vocal flair.
Corsets, coats, custom looks, and enough structure to hold the note.
Singing lessons are extra.

Clothing was never meant to stand still.
Stitch to Stage: The Story of Casta Diva explores how opera-born design became something meant to be lived in.
Following Lelia Barton Chamberlain, this documentary shows how garments evolved from stage performance into real-world movement—fighting, dancing, living.
From velvet-lit opera houses to the unpredictable environments of Renaissance festivals, this is the evolution of clothing with purpose.
Through archival imagery, behind-the-scenes footage, and present-day reflection, the film explores:
• The transformation of operatic design into wearable legacy
• The unseen labor behind performance and craftsmanship
• The toll of endurance during years of caregiving and survival
• The reinvention that followed—and the question of what comes next
This isn’t costume.
This is clothing.

She is still here!
Lelia Chamberlain is still at the Georgia Renaissance Festival—and after 26 years of Casta Diva Apparel being part of this show, you still have time to experience it at its source.
Come be fit by the master, Lelia Chamberlain herself. Come experience the artistry that built Casta Diva.
This isn’t off-the-rack. This is over 40 years of design, shaping, and refinement—rooted in the opera world and brought to life in every piece.
In celebration of that legacy, a documentary has been produced showing how that journey defined the craftsmanship you see today.
And while she’s here, you can see even more.
Our own Vicki is hand painting new garments—Celtic butterflies, wolves, crosses, faeries, and more.
Bring us a photo, and we can custom paint it onto your very own Casta Diva original Opera Cloaked-Cape, Gabriels, or Costanzas.
Sneak peeks. New designs. Pieces still being created.
Follow us so you don’t miss what’s coming next.
Come see the work. Come get fitted. Come meet her in person.

Every detail you see at a Renaissance festival was created by someone.
The clothing. The accessories. The goods in every booth.
All of it designed, crafted, and brought into existence by people who chose to create rather than mass-produce.
Supporting Renaissance businesses means recognizing the value of that effort.
And choosing to be part of it.
