POV: At my daughter’s wedding, I gave myself permission to be full of JOY!

To dance. To laugh. To celebrate. To soak in every second of watching my little girl step into a new chapter of her life!❤️

There was a time when I would have been so focused on the secular music, the atmosphere, or whether everything looked “Christian enough” that I might have missed the beauty in these moments.

And that breaks my heart a little. Because I used to judge people for things I now understand with more grace. I thought being deeply committed to God meant being rigid about everything around me.

I thank you Lord for changing my heart. 🙏
I still love Jesus deeply. I still have convictions. I just no longer believe I have to miss precious moments with the people I love in order to prove my faith!

That night, I wasn’t thinking about appearances. I was looking at my daughter, thanking God for her life, her love, and the privilege of being there to witness it all with our family that were also full of joy!

Sometimes growth is realizing you can love God and still dance at your daughter’s wedding. And I’m so grateful I didn’t miss the chance to dance. Especially since it was time! — Ecclesiastes 3:4 “…..and a time to dance.”

God has been so good to us. To be surrounded by family, love, laughter, and moments like these is a blessing I never want to take for granted.

This is what living abundantly looks like to me…family close, love overflowing, and memories becoming legacy. 🤍🙏🏽

Thank You, God, for every person at the table, every reason to celebrate, and every beautiful chapter still being written. 👑

I never had to finesse, hustle, or perform for a man just to experience a lifestyle. 💅🏽

A house doesn’t impress me. A bag doesn’t define me. Trips, gifts, and Sephora runs were never the price of admission.

I want the love, the loyalty, the respect, the consistency, and the peace.

Because when you know your worth, you don’t confuse being provided for with being valued. 🔥
