Local Ministry Highlight: 💥 Kids’ Explosion 💥

This week, we heard from Brianna Tuckerman about the incredible work God is doing through Kids’ Explosion, a mobile children’s outreach ministry that has been serving Jackson-area neighborhoods for more than 20 years.

Throughout the summer, their team brings the hope of Jesus directly to children through Bible stories, games, music, skits, and meaningful relationships. This year, they’ll visit 17 locations each week and connect with approximately 250 children weekly!

On May 10, we celebrated 13 baptisms and one baby dedication. We are so filled with joy to see these families and individuals publicly declaring their faith in Jesus and promising to raise their families to know him. What powerful testimonies to the transforming work of Christ.

New sermon series ✨Imago Dei✨ starts tomorrow, June 7!

Everyday you encounter people. In fact, you encounter them so often that you may begin to take them for granted. Sometimes these people get in the way of what you are trying to get done. Sometimes they help. Sometimes they frustrate your plans. Sometimes they promote your personal agendas. If we are not careful, other people can simply be seen as "supporting cast" in the play that is our life. According to the scriptures, people (all people) are made in the Imago Dei- Latin for "the Image of God".

There are deep implications to this Biblical truth if we allow it to transform our view of the people around us, including ourselves. Implications such as: the worth and value of all people, our purpose in living, the destiny of humanity and our care of creation.

Throughout June, we will explore the impact of humanity being made in the Image of God in our new series, Imago Dei.

Let's begin to see ourselves, creation and the people around us as God sees us.

As we celebrate the Class of 2026, we are so thankful for the ways God has faithfully guided each of our graduates throughout their lives. We are excited for all that this next season holds and pray they will continue to grow in their faith, stay connected to the church, and follow wherever the Lord leads them. 💛

We also invite you to join us in praying for Pastor Abi and Pastor Bryce as they step into new ministry roles this summer. Pastor Abi will serve as our Young Adult Pastor, and Pastor Bryce will serve as our Youth Pastor. We are grateful for their hearts for the next generation and excited to see how God will work through these ministries in the days ahead.

Please pray:
✨ For wisdom, courage, and guidance for our graduating seniors as they enter a new season
✨ That our graduates will continue walking closely with Jesus wherever life takes them
✨ For Pastor Abi and Pastor Bryce to have wisdom, vision, and discernment during this transition
✨ That our youth and young adult ministries would be places where students feel known, loved, and encouraged in their faith
✨ That God’s Kingdom would continue to grow among the next generation
