Been cutting it way back in my shop. Like seriously medieval turtle slow. This season of parenthood won't last long so I'm soaking up all the imaginary play, baby snuggles, and being the center of their universe while I still can.

That doesn't stop my desire to get back into a good work/life balance! I've had serious mommy brain with a hard time focusing on my sales and shop progress. Feelings of inadequacy and the struggle to "do it all" just isn't working! I'm learning to give myself grace and to ask for help. With the help of a babysitter a couple times a week this summer, I will be able to compartmentalize my brain so work time is work time. And family time is family time. 100 percent! No excuses.

Ok ok so I KNOW I have been slacking on my pregnancy and baby book journaling prompts. I'll be honest, I did not have my heart in them and I finally figured out WHY. I was posting them as typographical images instead of creating them in an actual journal! Duh! (insert emoji head bonk here)

SO...I will leave them up for now but am changing the format a bit. Which gave me an IDEA💡You'll have to stay tuned to find out.

Really anything our baby does for the first time is means to get out that pen and make a journal entry. If you're a first time mom that is. This is a big one to get down on paper. Sometimes writing the difficult things can help clear your mind and help come up with a solution, if one is needed. Sometimes it's nice to just see it on paper. It could be anywhere from your water breaking in public, to caring for a newborn, to raising a child with compassion and grace.

I often get asked if I sell journal pages that include writing prompts. While I like to write freely in my journals without the task of filling in the blanks, I know a blank journal page could be just as daunting!

I am trying something new where I'll be offering daily journal prompts to help you when you get stuck or when there isn't really anything new going on in your pregnancy or with baby.

It is such a blessing as a stay at home mama to have a creative outlet and share my passion of paper crafting with others! My shop is still open but I will not be shipping orders until January 4th.
