🪁🚴☀️ One of the most fun evenings of the Summer in the Spokane Area: Summer Parkways! ☀️🚴🪁

On Tuesday, June 16 6-9pm, join in a nonstop cruise around the South Hill, with hundreds of other riders as they make their way through Manito Park, down to 32nd, around Comstock Park and back up to 23rd. No starting line. No finish line. Just an evening of community fun and connection!

Summer Parkways is open to all forms of people-powered, non-motorized transport. This does not include powered scooters or skateboards, or hoverboards. If you ride a pedal assist bicycle, please travel a safe speed and ensure that you follow the rules of the road.

Along the way, you’ll find new exercises to try: taichi, jump rope, hacky sack, fencing, dancing, you name it! So bring your roller skates, bikes, leashed dogs, loved ones, and you! Swipe all the way to the end of our post for the full map : )

Adventure awaits on the Hiawatha Trail! 🚴‍♀️✨

The Route of the Hiawatha is one of the nation’s top ten national mountain bike trails and has been described as one of the most scenic sections of rail-trail in the country. This family-friendly 15-mile downhill trail in the Bitterroot Mountains features seven trestles and ten tunnels with shuttle buses to bring you back to the top in comfort. Brave the 1.66-mile-long dark Taft tunnel, take in the view from Idaho to Montana, and enjoy the day outside on the Hiawatha Trail.

You can even rent all the gear you need at Lookout Pass! They have bikes, helmets, headlamps, day passes, and shuttle tickets, open from 8 am to 4 pm!

🎧 🎼 💿 When you’re in downtown Spokane, you have to stop in to Entropy Records: a record store, art gallery, vintage shop and a collector’s paradise celebrating all things physical media. 🎧 🎼 💿

Head to the historic Parkade to browse the aisles of records, hang for a good conversation and see works by local artists.

We stopped by and spoke to Garrett to get his perspective on music, collecting, and who their audience is:

“We get a lot of fans of indie and punk and harsh aggressive stuff like that, but also Taylor Swift. So we have everything. CD’s are on the resurgence. It warms my heart to see kids rifle through the CD’s in 2026. I’m here for that.
Some of my favorite records right now are
The Magnolia Electric Company by Songs: Ohia. One of my favorite albums of all time. A masterclass in dark, moody, eirie early 2000’s indie folk, country rock. I can listen to that forever.

Ugly Cassinova’s Sharpen Your Teeth - An Isaac Brock side project, early 2000’s. Just weird alt-folk. Thats a lot of what I listen to these days.
Lingua Ignota’s Caligula - Aggressive noise punk, cathartic screaming, operatic vocals.”

Stop by Entropy and get lost in musical conversation!
