What does it mean to live a Christ-centered life? Almost two thousand years ago, Paul was doing exactly this, and doing so from a prison cell. His encouragement to the churches in the region around Ephesus points us all to Jesus as he says to them, maybe surprisingly, "I've heard about... you!" Their own faith and their loving action inspired worship and prayer in his own heart, and that's just the beginning. Check out this week's Destination Church Podcast: Christ-Centered.
Ephesians Part 4: Christ-Centered (Ephesians 1:15-23) - Destination Church Spokane Podcast Christ-centered living is not just a religious 'catch phrase.' Paul encourages the Ephesian church even while he himself is in prison, writing to them that he's been hearing about their faith and loving action. As he encourages them, he does so wi...

When fires burn and hearts are in upheaval, where do we place our hope? Homes and family inheritances can be reduced to ash - and many have been in Spokane in recent days. We're processing the Spokane fires right alongside our neighbors, and are grieving with those who grieve. In days like these we must be very careful what words we choose, and how we talk about God's sovereignty, and yet... if He is not sovereign today, then He is actually not sovereign at all. In this week's Destination Church Podcast, we bring the hope of Scripture (Ephesians 1:11-14) and the Gospel with us right into the smoke, ashes, and pain of real life. We hope this isn't just a 'band aid,' but real encouragement to hearts that need refreshing.
Ephesians Part 3 - God's Sovereign Promise (Ephesians 1:11-14) - Destination Church Spokane Podcast Can we really find hope in God's sovereignty? What about in seasons of extreme difficulty? Furthermore, is it right for us to think of ourselves as having a significant role in God's sovereign plan and purpose? When we understand sovereignty in a ...
With the tragic fires in Spokane this weekend, if you need a place to find care, to pray or receive prayer, or just to worship and find some encouragement, Destination Church is planning to host our Sunday gathering in the morning. Please know you are welcome, and we’ll be taking time to pray for our city together. Much love to all our Spokane neighbors, some who are relieved, some who are fearful, and some who are grieving loss today.

When God gives a 'big reveal,' He goes BIG! When it feels like life is a bit rough, it's so encouraging to freshly discover the grand plan of God to include us in His family and to reconcile all of creation under the Lordship of Jesus Christ. It was a breezy, wind-chimey kind of morning on Sunday as Destination Church gathered with Jacob's Well Church to worship, feast, and learn from God's word together. Trevor Payne brought an encouraging and challenging word from Ephesians 4 on what it actually looks like to be an apostolic church today. It's not about hierarchy and Capital A 'Apostles' telling everyone what to do; it's about every member being equipped to fulfill God's purpose in the earth. In this week's Destination Church Podcast, you'll hear the wind (and the wind chimes blowing in the breeze) as Trevor casts a big vision for healthy, effective life together in Christ. Enjoy!
An Apostolic Church (Trevor Payne, Ephesians 4) - Destination Church Spokane Podcast What does it mean to be an apostolic church today? What does that look like? There are seven key elements that every local church should seek to embrace fully if we want to build according to the pattern of the apostles of Jesus as they sought to ...

Who wouldn't want to be a part of a healthy, stable church that has a heart for one another, for our community, and for the people of our wider world? So, how can we build that? How can we be a part of that? What kinds of things would we need to prioritize as individuals and as a community if that's really what we want to see and to be? In this week's Destination Church Podcast, we hope your heart is strengthened with "Devoted: A People For God's Purpose" as Trevor Payne brings an encouraging and envisioning word from Acts 2:37-47.
Devoted: A People For God's Purpose (Acts 2:37-47) - Destination Church Spokane Podcast Imagine...
