🚩 Sometimes the Warning Signs Aren’t Obvious 🚩

Teen dating abuse doesn’t always start with yelling, threats, or physical violence.

Sometimes it looks like:
📱 Demanding passwords to social media accounts
📍 Constantly checking someone’s location
😔 Making a partner feel guilty for spending time with friends or family
📞 Expecting immediate responses to every text or call
💔 Using jealousy as a sign of “love”

These behaviors are often normalized in teen relationships, making it difficult for young people to recognize when a relationship is becoming unhealthy.

At Create Your Statement, we’re committed to helping teens understand the difference between healthy, unhealthy, and abusive relationships through education, awareness, and prevention.

Because every teen deserves to feel respected, valued, and safe in their relationships.

💬 What is one relationship lesson you wish you had learned as a teenager? Share below and help us continue the conversation.

Because of You, We’re Making a Difference

Every conversation started, every student reached, and every lesson taught about healthy relationships is possible because of the incredible support of our community.

At Create Your Statement, we believe every teen deserves to know the signs of healthy and unhealthy relationships, understand their worth, and have the tools to recognize and prevent dating abuse. Through our educational programs in schools and community outreach efforts, we are helping empower young people with knowledge that can change—and even save—lives.

None of this happens alone.

We are deeply grateful for our donors, sponsors, community partners, volunteers, educators, and advocates who stand alongside us in this mission. Your support allows us to bring vital education and prevention programs to youth throughout our community and continue raising awareness about teen dating abuse.

The need for this work continues to grow, and so does the opportunity to make an even greater impact. Every donation, partnership, and shared message helps us reach more students, equip more educators, and create safer futures for young people.

Thank you for believing in our mission and investing in the next generation. Together, we are creating a community where every teen knows they deserve respect, safety, and healthy relationships.

🧡 If you’d like to help us expand our reach and impact, please consider making a donation today. Every gift, no matter the size, helps us continue this important work.

Did you know that a form of dating abuse is digital?
Digital dating abuse is the use of technology to harass, intimidate, monitor or track without permission, and/or threaten a dating partner.
This form of abuse is highly prevalent especially among teens and research indicates that 28% to 75% of adolescents experience it.

Alarmingly, over 50% of teens who endure digital abuse also experience physical abuse.

You are valuable… even on the days you don’t feel like it.

Unhealthy relationships have a way of making you question your worth. They can make you feel small, unheard, or like you have to earn love.

But here’s the truth:
Your value is not up for debate.

You deserve to be treated with kindness, respect, and care—always. Not just when it’s convenient. Not just when you’ve “earned” it. Always.

At Create Your Statement, we believe awareness is the first step toward prevention. Knowing your worth helps you recognize when something isn’t right—and gives you the strength to choose better.

As you head into this weekend, remember:
You are worthy.
You are valuable.
And you deserve nothing less than full respect. ❤️

February is Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month 💜

Here’s the truth…

Real love respects.

Love doesn’t control.
Love doesn’t isolate.
Love doesn’t manipulate.
Love doesn’t make you feel small, scared, or unsure of your worth.

That’s why the work we do at Create Your Statement is so important. We are teaching teens how to:

✨ Identify unhealthy behaviors and red flags
✨ Recognize manipulation, control, and emotional abuse
✨ Establish healthy boundaries
✨ Build respectful, safe relationships
✨ Find their voice and use it

We can’t just tell teens “don’t date the wrong person.”
We have to equip them with the tools to recognize when something isn’t right.

Empowered youth become confident adults.
Teens who understand boundaries grow into individuals who expect respect — and give it.

Let’s normalize conversations about healthy love.
Let’s model it.
Let’s teach it.
Let’s protect it.

Because real love respects — always. 🧡
