We couldn’t pass up the opportunity for a SECOND post celebrating Michelle! 🎉
Now that we have updated pictures of her beautiful poster and got to celebrate with her in person, we just had to share it again. 9 YEARS CLEAN AND SOBER! 🙌
Because let’s be honest… a miracle like this is worth celebrating more than once!
Michelle’s story, her faith, her honesty, and the life she has built in recovery are such a powerful reminder that God can take a life that once felt hopeless and turn it into something beautiful.
We are so grateful for Michelle, for the example she sets, and for the way she continues to show others that recovery is not just about putting the substances down—it’s about building a life you actually want to live.
9 years. One day at a time. And absolutely worth celebrating again! 🎉❤️
We love you, Michelle! Congratulations from your SFRC family! 🥳

❤️ 12 YEARS CLEAN & SOBER, MINDY! ❤️
Twelve years in recovery. What a miracle. 🙏
Mindy is tough as nails, yet has the most loving heart. She is a true leader and a pillar of the family here at Spokane Falls Recovery Center. She is admired by so many, but what stands out most is her integrity and unwavering commitment to advocating for the people we serve.
She will bend over backwards for anyone on this team. She shows up. She cares deeply. And when you need her, you can count on Mindy. That kind of person is cherished.
As Mindy reflects on 12 years of recovery, her words say it all:
“Every year I reflect a week before my sobriety birthday… And literally the only thing that comes to my mind is… JESUS IS THE REASON WHY.
I am very grateful and thankful daily for my life today. My family, friends and SFRC show me daily why I need to be sober and why I need to give back…”
Mindy, we are so grateful for 12 years of your recovery, your faith, your strength, your heart, and the way you give back every single day. You make SFRC better, and you make the lives of the people we serve better.
Happy 12 years, Mindy! 🎉❤️From all of us at Spokane Falls Recovery Center — we love you, we admire you, and we are so grateful you’re part of our family.
Here’s to another day, another year, and another miracle. One day at a time. 🙏

Happy 9 Years Clean & Sober, Michelle! 🎉❤️
This may be an older photo, but with the wildfires impacting our community, we won’t get to celebrate Michelle in person until tomorrow. Some milestones are simply too important to wait.
Nine years ago, Michelle made a decision that changed the course of her life. Today, we celebrate not only her sobriety, but the woman she has become and the hope she shares with everyone around her at Spokane Falls Recovery Center.
When asked how she has stayed clean and sober for nine years, her answer says it all:
“Dude. How? God. 😉
The simple part is just don’t pick it back up… Stop fighting a battle that’s already won.
The journey is building a life that I actually want to live, not one that I feel I need to escape from. Life challenges provide opportunities to grow in ways that couldn’t have occurred otherwise. It’s messy sometimes, but staying honest, open-minded, and willing to do the work is way simpler than believing I’m supposed to have it all figured out. Staying curious about it instead of resistant… And remembering that needing other people is not a sign of weakness but a sign that I’m human and not designed to do this alone. Long story short, God saved my life.”
Michelle, your life is a beautiful reminder that recovery is possible. Your honesty, humility, and unwavering faith inspire the people we serve every day. Thank you for showing others that healing isn’t about having all the answers—it’s about trusting God, staying connected, and taking recovery one day at a time.
We are incredibly grateful to have you as part of the Spokane Falls Recovery Center family.
Congratulations on 9 amazing years! May God continue to bless your journey as you carry His hope to others who are still fighting for their lives.
Please help us congratulate Michelle on this incredible milestone! ❤️🙏

A NOTE FROM SPOKANE FALLS RECOVERY CENTER ❤️
To Our Community,
Our hearts are with everyone impacted by the wildfires throughout the Spokane region. We are lifting up in prayer the families who have been displaced, those who have experienced unimaginable loss, and the brave firefighters, first responders, and emergency personnel working around the clock to protect our communities.
In times like these, we are reminded how important it is to come together. No one should have to face life’s hardest moments alone.
We want our community to know that Spokane Falls Recovery Center remains OPEN and all of our services continue without interruption. Our Medical Detox, Residential Treatment, Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), and Outpatient services are operating as scheduled. If you or someone you love is struggling with addiction, we are here for you 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Recovery doesn’t stop during difficult times—and neither do we.
We will continue to monitor conditions closely and do everything possible to keep our clients, staff, and community safe while remaining available to those who need hope, healing, and a place to begin again.
To our neighbors, please stay safe, check on one another, and follow all official evacuation orders and emergency guidance.
Even in the midst of uncertainty, we believe God is still at work. Hope is stronger than fear, light shines brightest in the darkness, and together—as a community—we will get through this.
With love, prayers, and gratitude,
The Spokane Falls Recovery Center Family

Today we celebrate an incredible man who also happens to be celebrating 28 years clean and sober.
Around Spokane Falls Recovery Center, we have plenty of nicknames, but one of our favorites for MJ is “The Founding Father.” 😄 Twenty-eight years of recovery has a way of leaving people in awe, and for good reason. His life is a living reminder that long-term recovery is not only possible—it’s worth every step.
When we asked MJ how he has achieved so many years of sobriety, his answer was simple:
“One day at a time…sometimes one hour at a time.”
Those words reflect the way he lives. His consistency in showing up, year after year, is admirable. But what makes MJ so special is his unwavering commitment to encouraging the newcomer. He never forgets where he came from, and he continues to share his experience, strength, and hope with those who are fighting for their lives.
MJ, thank you for your faithful example, your servant’s heart, and the countless lives you’ve impacted simply by continuing to show up. We are incredibly grateful you are part of the Spokane Falls Recovery Center family.
Happy Birthday, MJ! May God continue to bless you as you carry the message of hope to the next person who needs to hear, “You can do this too.” ❤️
Watching this vision come to life is something we will never take for granted. A heartfelt thank you to the amazing team at Baker Construction. Your professionalism, communication, and dedication have made this process far smoother than we ever could have hoped for. We are truly grateful for each of you.
We are just as grateful for our incredible staff and the people we have the privilege of serving. Even with construction happening all around us, our detox, residential, and outpatient programs continue operating every single day. Recovery never stops, and neither does this team.
The patience, flexibility, encouragement, and excitement everyone has shown throughout this journey have been deeply inspiring. It is a powerful reminder that, just like recovery, building something meaningful takes faith, perseverance, and people who are committed to moving forward together.
Every truck that arrives, every wall that goes up, and every milestone we reach brings us one step closer to expanding our ability to serve even more people who are fighting for their lives.
Thank you for being part of this journey with us. The best is still ahead, and we cannot wait to share it with all of you. ❤️

Today we celebrate Caleb with 2 years clean and sober! 🎉
Watching Caleb’s journey has been incredibly special to us. He first came through the doors of Spokane Falls Recovery Center looking for help. Today, he walks these same buildings giving back to the people we serve every single day. There is something truly beautiful about watching someone who found hope become a source of hope for others.
Recovery isn’t just about putting down drugs or alcohol—it’s about finding a new way to live. Caleb’s life is a testimony that healing is possible, purpose can be restored, and God can do what seems impossible.
In Caleb’s own words:
“I learned in my time in sobriety that the world and all the people on it wasn’t the problem. And the reason I was so uncomfortable in my own skin had nothing to do with the world. It was because I was living with a God-sized hole in me I tried to fill with anything but God. And I was living an unconnected life. Recovery has given me a chance at having a connected life. Growing pains and all, I would trade all my time in my addiction for just a singular moment of peace that I have found in recovery.”
Caleb, thank you for allowing God to write a new story with your life and for sharing your experience, strength, and hope with those who are fighting for their own lives today. We are grateful you are part of the Spokane Falls Recovery Center family.
Happy 2 years! One day at a time. ❤️
PROGRESS. HOPE. NEW BEGINNINGS. 💥
Spokane Falls Recovery Center UPDATE: The demolition is complete. The old building is down, the foundation has been removed, and the vision we’ve been praying and planning for is becoming reality.
A huge thank you to Ray at RLR Demolition for not only doing an incredible job, but for allowing us to be part of this special moment. Having the opportunity to put our own hands into the work made it even more meaningful.
It’s amazing how recovery and construction share so much in common. Sometimes the old has to come down before something stronger, healthier, and more beautiful can be built in its place.
Every load hauled away, every piece of concrete removed, and every step forward brings us closer to a new medical detox and residential treatment facility that will serve countless people and families for generations to come.
Thank you to everyone who has prayed, encouraged, and believed in this dream alongside us. We can’t wait to show you what’s next.
The best is yet to come. ❤️🏗️
