The North Face

We exist to inspire and enable athletes to push their limits - to seek new routes, new lines or new distances and to NEVER STOP EXPLORING.

The North Face® offers an extensive line of technically advanced outdoor performance apparel, equipment, and footwear. We push the boundaries of innovation so that you can push the boundaries of exploration. We remain deeply proud to be the first choice of the world's most accomplished climbers, mountaineers, extreme skiers, snowboarders, endurance athletes, and explorers.

In 1990, The North Face sent an international team of explorers on the first dogsled crossing of Antarctica—an extraordinary feat across 3,741 unforgiving miles. Their mission was to draw global attention to the continent’s endangered environment and reinstate the Antarctic Treaty. Will Steger, a team member of the Trans-Antarctica Expedition, recounts the experience, its significance, and what exploration means to him in Peace of History. Watch the full film now:

Coalesce (verb): to come together to form one mass or whole.
In his latest video project, Coalesce, Jossi Wells unites the movement of skiing and dance alongside ballerina Chelsea Keefer to create a duet focused on precise ex*****on and the beauty therein.

Layers of courage for taking on any descent. Shop Steep Series™:

“It's not about these summits, it's about these experiences in the mountains with my
friends and communities, having conversations about what it feels like to be a minority in the
mountains…” Last winter, Vasu Sojitra and his two friends Emilé Zynobia and Zahan Billimoria set out to ski Mt. Moran—in the process, reshaped the conversation around disability in the outdoors.

Last March, Vasu Sojitra completed the first-ever disabled descent of Mt. Moran.
