Here's what fellow teacher Jessica Cravens had to say about Melanie Ortner:

"Ms. Ortner is truly the epitome of a kind, patient, and empathetic teacher. My classroom is directly across the hall from hers, and every day I hear her gently redirect her students while taking the time to explain why we follow rules and the importance of respecting the other classrooms in the hallway. She leads with kindness and compassion, always greeting her students with a smile and, when they need it, a hug. It is evident in the way she speaks to and interacts with her students that she genuinely cares about each of them and works hard to create a classroom where they feel valued, supported, and loved."

Don't forget! Texas law requires eligible voters to register by the 30th day before Election Day. The voter registration deadline for the November 3, 2026, Uniform Election is October 5, 2026. https://www.votetexas.gov/register-to-vote/index.html

College Week was full of future possibilities across Splendora ISD!
From our youngest Wildcats representing their favorite future colleges to staff and alumni proudly repping their alma maters, our campuses spent the week celebrating what comes next!

Wildcats enjoyed Pizza, Pi & PSAT and Rising Scholar Nights, a Future Fair featuring colleges and universities, door decorating contests, and plenty of conversations about college, careers, and future goals.

College Week may be over, but we hope our Wildcats keep dreaming big, exploring their options, and planning for their futures!

We are proud to spotlight Angelina Wilson for an incredible accomplishment - completing the Berlin Marathon in Germany!

Running 26.2 miles is an amazing achievement that takes dedication, perseverance, and determination. Angelina took those qualities all the way to Berlin and crossed the finish line with a well-earned medal! Way to go!
