Congratulations to Wade Wells for being named the Texas Farm Credit Ag Champ for our local branch. Only one graduating senior per branch receives this award, and Wade was selected for his leadership, service, and commitment to agriculture.

As part of this award Wade recieved a $1000 scholarship, and Splendora FFA also received $1000 donation from Texas Farm Credit.

What an amazing end to a fantastic show season!! The lamb and goat kids showed off at the Montgomery county fair a few weeks ago!!! Grand Lamb Bristol Lira and Reserve Goat Ryder Lira were top Honors.
We had 8 sheep and 3 goats make the premium auction. As a whole in sheep and goat show all our students were in the top end of the their classes.

Splendora FFA had an Outstanding show season and we are excited about selection for next year’s project coming soon!

Good luck Horse & Wool Teams today at State!!!

Lastnight, after the FFA Banquet, our State Advancing Wool & Horse Team headed to San Angelo for a couple of quick practices before the State contest on Saturday.

Our Horse Team had the incredible opportunity to visit the legendary 6666 Ranch and sort some of the highest-quality horses. It was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience they will never forget!

Wool was Gettin there minds right with a little fun and goofy practice at San Angelo college.

Had a great day in the swine barn at Montgomery County. Splendora FFA ended getting total of 10 sale qualifying barrows. If you see any of these students give them a big congratulations!

Steers had a great week at the fair too. Our kids brought in quality cattle and it showed.

Reserve Grand Champion Martet Steer went to out very own Zach M.

Champion American Steer was Beaux K.

Our two other sale makers were Tylar O. and Eli C.

Champion Junior Steer Showman went to Lane S!

Congratulations to Emma C for being First Runner Up in the queen's contest at Montgomery County Fair Association we are beyond proud for her hard work and all she does for our chapter.

Livestock Judging Senior Team placed second at Montgomery County Fair Association. EMMA C. was 3rd high individual. This team also went to Area last week and was 13th. Can't wait to see where this team goes next.
