Attention all 3rd-6th grade boys and girls interested in Basketball. The Bingham High Girls and Boys Basketball teams are holding a Future Miners basketball camp June 6th-9th from 9:00am-11:00am. Registration forms and info are available in the main office at Bingham High School or online at binghamathletics.com

Our choir has been practicing all year and will be performing tonight at 6:00pm. This will be tonight, Thursday, May 19th in the gym.

We’re having a field Day! Wednesday, June 1st. Please email [email protected] if you can help!

We are having an “arts” night through dance on Wednesday May 18th from 6-7. Your students have been working hard to learn dances that they will be performing.

Kona Ice will be there to purchase snow cones. All students who perform that night will receive a free snow cone. We’re looking forward to this fun night. We hope to see you there.

Next week is teacher appreciation week. Flyers went home with your student this week explaining the weeks events. These are optional.

Wednesday, Bring a school supply or homemade picture for your classroom.

Thursday, Bring something your teacher likes. A great option would be to write a note of appreciation to your teacher.

In the past we have had parents bring lunch for a specific teacher. We have had instances where parents would forget to bring a lunch, leaving a teacher with no lunch for the day. We decided to offer to sponsor a lunch instead this year to ensure that all staff will get lunch as well as still allow parents to be involved. What does our fundraiser help pay for?

While our Jog-a-thon fundraiser helps pay for so many events such as Red Ribbon Week, White Ribbon Week, Teacher Appreciation week, STEM fair and much more, one of the bigger things our fundraiser helped pay for this year was a new program called Junior Great Books. Junior Great Books® programs combine high-quality literature, student-centered discussion, and activities that support reading comprehension, critical thinking, speaking and listening, and writing. Schools that integrate Junior Great Books materials and our inquiry-based approach to learning into their curriculum have been helping their students become independent readers and thinkers while enhancing the instructional skills of their teachers.

One last thing your funds are going to help pay for is new computers. Computers have become an invaluable tool the teachers have been able to use in the classrooms and Jordan Ridge PTA is excited to be able to help fund necessary computers for our students thanks to funds raised from our fundraiser this year.

We are so excited to be able to Implement this program for our students and provide new computer thanks to so many generous donors and sponsors. Thank you, Jordan Ridge!

We are having a Stem Night! It will be this Thursday from 6:00-7:30. We have lots of fun activities planned and another one we added after our posters were made is a butterfly enclosure where students will get to feed and hold butterflies.

The first 100 students will get a free STEM backpack. Can’t wait to see you there!
