Let's build a Somerville Tool Library. A tool library functions basically like a regular public libr We don't need the drill...we need the hole.
The average power drill only gets used 6 to 13 minutes in its lifetime. Other communities have Tool Libraries that lend out tools to residents for a small yearly membership fee. Our region has several makerspaces, but not a tool library where people can show up, borrow tools and then take them home to work on projects.

Fixer Fair #4 is Sunday June 10th from 12 -3pm outside in Union Square, Somerville. Don't throw it away - repair it! We'll have tools & materials to repair all sorts of broken stuff, but what we really need is talented volunteers to help make it all happen. I feel like Santa packing his sleigh, except the sleigh is an old minivan and the gifts are bike tools, soldering irons and sewing supplies. Fixer Fair #3 here we come! See you tomorrow in Union Square Plaza from 2-5pm
