🐾🎯 It’s a "Clicker Comeback" for Rolo!
​Today, Trina R. Eddy is bringing back the clicker to help shape Rolo’s retriever behaviors. While Rolo hasn't worked with a clicker since he was a tiny puppy, his "thinker" brain clicked right back into gear.

​Why the Clicker? In service dog training, precision is everything. The clicker allows us to mark the exact moment Rolo performs the desired behavior—in this case, building a reliable, high-level retrieve. It’s all about clear communication and building confidence!

​We are still smiling after a successful Doggie Easter Egg Hunt here at A Canine Experience. It was a day filled with fun, focus, and—most importantly—community spirit.

​This session was a mini masterclass in leash work and confidence building. By practicing intentional handling and engagement, Autumn is helping Skye find a calm, focused state of mind even in a busy environment.

Mowgli is currently deep in his medical alert training. This isn't just about "sit" and "stay"—it’s about scent discrimination, high-level focus, and learning to communicate a potentially life-saving alert. Every session is a massive "brain day" for a service dog in training.

We are so proud of the work being done in our Service Dog Program to help handlers regain their independence through these incredible partnerships.

But Mowgli isn’t the only one working hard. We’ve been barking up a new tree behind the scenes... and we finally get to let the dog out of the bag on June 1st.
