Enjoyable Online Spanish sessions for children 6-12 years old.

Happy New Year everybody! 🤩 It has been a while since I posted here, as I still continue receiving requests for lessons I wanted to updated you about a decision that I have made, after so much thought!
I have decided to take some time off offering the lessons online, I am coming to my 5th year of teaching and I have enjoyed it enormously but due to a change of circumstances I've decided that is time to step back initially for 6-8 months but I will update you when I am back and ready! 😃
Thank you so so much for all your support I really appreciate it! 🥰
PS. El Club de Español (The Spanish Club) a space dedicated to the Hispanic Community in a non-profit basis, won't be affected by this change.

Today is Friday and the body knows it.
A typical phrase among Spanish speakers refering to how keen or excited we are to enjoy Friday (evening) and the weekend 😀
So, does your body know es viernes? 😉
Dilo en Español ➡️Say it in Spanish
"Qué" means what, however, when using these expressions it translates in English as "how".
Let's practice with this video and let me know how you get on. 😊
You are used to it, a student said to me 😳
She was referring to the way how I am in class, moving around, pulling faces, making funny sounds, laughing out loud...
Everything to make myself understood and to have fun in class. To be honest, it's not that I am used to it, as my student thinks, that's my personality, that's how I am 😄
There are a lot of teaching methods, techniques and resources out there but what really creates that connection between teacher/tutor/educator and student, in my opinion, it's just being yourself, in this case, being myself 💛
For the record, I didn't realise I pull some many faces until I watched this video! 🙈🤪
Do you remember a teacher who you connected with because of how they were? (funny, energetic, serious, calm, etc)
I would love to read your comments!
Only one week using this game and we are already loving it! My students think it's a lot of fun (and I do too!).
It's a simple way to practice numbers, commands, name of items to throw or even more complex phrases for advanced students.
Thank you to for the recommendation.

There she is! 👀
The other part of me that has tried to keep me small and quiet for far too long...but hey! I can finally look at her on the eyes, acknowledging her, understanding she's not going anywhere...
But that's ok, because I know that dealing with her requires love and compassion 💛, I am allowing her to sit in a corner with one condition:
she is not making any decisions anymore!⚡️
It feels amazing having my power back!💥
Do you know what I am talking about? 🤔
If you said, the little voice inside you or the imposter (syndrome), then you were right!
We all have dealt with it at some point in our lives, just remember you are light 💫, I am light too! 💫 and that we all have something important to share! 🫂
I will be popping in more often to connect with you lovely people. Thank you for being here and for reading this (probably the longest post you will read from me) 😄
Now, back to Spanish. 👩💻🇨🇴

Some humour for those who think that Spanish is difficult to learn, it's similar to English really, one word can have different meanings...😁

About the classes
Hola!
I am Ximena, the face behind Bright Little Minds, Spanish for children from 2-12 years old. I am a native Spanish speaker and a registered licensee from La Jolie Ronde language provider.
I offer extra-curriculum classes in local schools and community centres as well as providing 1:1 tuition using La Jolie Ronde methodology (learning Spanish through play and music). The classes are engaging and fun, children start talking the language from the first session!
La Jolie Ronde programmes are structured and progressive, the topics and core vocabulary are tailored to each age group. As part of the courses, we use an activity book and a music app (for school age children only) to help students to keep practising their new skill at home.
