We are keeping an eye on this tropical system as it develops.

TD # 9 FORMS expected to become Hurricane Isaias on approach to the Gulf Coast this weekend. The first forecast calls for a 100 MPH CAT 2 at landfall near the MS/AL border. It remains early, residents of SE LA to the Florida Panhandle are in the cone and need to monitor closely.

Something new for our canine patients!

We’re excited to announce that our online pharmacy is now offering Royal Canin’s new Fresh Veterinary Diet! 🐶

If you’ve been looking for a fresh-food option for your dog, this may be something worth exploring. Every dog is different, so our veterinary team can help determine whether this diet could be a good fit for your pet’s individual nutritional and health needs.

A dental exam can reveal more than just dental disease. 🦷

During intubation for a dog’s CORE (Comprehensive Oral Radiographs and Examination) dental procedure, our team discovered an incidental mass on the tongue that may not have been visible during a routine awake oral exam.

This is an important reminder that a thorough oral examination includes more than looking at the teeth. The tongue, gums, palate, and other oral tissues deserve careful evaluation, too.

Some areas of the mouth can be difficult to fully assess in an awake, wiggly, or uncomfortable patient. That’s one reason a sedated or anesthetized oral examination can be so valuable — it allows the veterinary team to safely and thoroughly evaluate the entire oral cavity.

🔎 Regular dental care isn’t just about cleaner teeth. It’s also an opportunity to identify abnormalities that might otherwise go unnoticed.

When it comes to your pet’s oral health, a thorough exam matters. ❤️🐾

Dental health is about more than just teeth! 🐾 Schedule a comprehensive oral exam with our team to give your pet’s entire mouth the attention it deserves.

🎃 WE LEARNED OUR LESSON LAST YEAR… 🍬

Okay, okay… maybe we were just a teensy bit underprepared for Trunk or Treat last year. 😂

We showed up ready to have some Halloween fun, and then quickly realized that the amount of candy needed to keep a trunk full of trick-or-treaters happy is… A LOT. 👻🍭

Thankfully, the wonderful folks at Aldersgate United Methodist Church came to the rescue with extra goodies to help keep the fun times rolling! (And they were doing the same for other participants, too!)

So this year, we’re hoping to return the favor.

🍬 HELP US STOCK THE TREAT STASH! 🍬
We’re collecting individually wrapped candy and Halloween-themed treats to bring to Aldersgate for their stockpile of Trunk or Treat goodies!

And because we think our clients are pretty sweet, we’re offering a little Loyalty Points as a thank-you:

🐾 Bring in a donation → Get 200 Pet Points Loyalty Reward! *🐾

That’s our small way of saying THANK YOU for helping us give back to the church and our Slidell community. 🧡

This year, we’re not the team whispering, “Ummm… does anyone have more candy?” halfway through the night. 😂 Who are we kidding?? We were out of candy 25 minutes after we started! 😲

🎃 Bring on the candy!
👻 Bring on the costumes!
🐾 And let’s make this year’s Trunk or Treat even sweeter!

Drop off your donations at our clinic.
We’ll be collecting through OCTOBER 15 (10/15/26)

Thank you for helping us pay it forward! 🧡

*Pet Points is our Loyalty program through our PetDesk app! Be sure to download and opt-in to loyalty!*
