The Sinking Spring Public Library has been serving the informational, educational and recreational needs of our community since 1965. The library is a place to stimulate creativity and intellectual curiosity as well as facilitate a love of lifelong learning for the residents of the Borough of Sinking Spring and all of Berks County. THANK YOU to Reading Science Center for sharing Egon and Carley with us for this evening's special story time. We read from James and the Giant Peach, examined insects and replicated the jumping capabilities of grasshoppers by making our own catapults. So much fun!!

Join local artist Bernadette Breshanan for a guided painting class and create a bluebird nest design on a wine bottle.
Please bring a clean wine bottle with labels removed. A limited number of bottles may be available. String lights will be provided to complete your design.
Bottle Painting Class
• Wednesday April 8th, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
• Please register by Monday April 6th.
What to Bring:
• 1 clean wine bottle (labels removed)
• Other materials will be provided (including string lights)
Registration Details:
$24.00 Donation per person (due at the time of registration)
• Cash or check only
• Register in person at the circulation desk
• Space is limited (14 seats)
• Please register by April 6
• No Refunds
•• Your seat is reserved once payment is received.
(Some spare bottles may be available during the class, but we can not make any guarantees).

March Is National Craft Month!
Join us for a community craft and art supplies exchange to be held on Saturday, March 28th from 9am-2pm.
Ticket holders will have early access from 9am-10am. General entry will be 10am-2pm.

It’s time to clean out your craft closet! If you’re a crafter or artist who needs to reduce your stash or someone who is looking for a new craft hobby, join us for our second Community Craft Exchange!
If you donate for the Craft Exchange, you will receive a ticket for early entry at 9-10am.
Donations for the swap may be dropped off during the library hours of operation. (Mon-Thur. 10am-7pm, Fri. 10am-3pm, Sat. 8am-3pm)
Nothing to donate? No problem! You are not required to donate to attend and browse supplies from 10-2. Registration not required.
What Can Be Donated?
Only Adult craft supplies should be donated. Condition must be new or like new and free of dirt/pet hair/etc.
Examples:
Fabric, yarn, craft books, complete kits (no missing pieces), quilt tops, paper punches, stamps, good quality glass beads, wooden beads, buttons, complete craft patterns, craft storage, water colors, blank canvases, and more.
Supplies and tools for: Quilting, sewing, crochet, knitting, scrap-booking, basket making, embroidery, soap making, candle making, yarn spinning, felting, weaving, jewelry making, painting, art journaling, drawing, etc!
What Will Not Be accepted?
Donations will be accepted at our discretion. No Kid Crafts.
No school supplies like crayons or colored pencils.
No cooking supplies.
Donations will be accepted at our discretion. Damaged items should not be donated. All donations will be kept by the library for the craft exchange event and will not be returned. We reserve the right to keep and use donations for future programs. Any unclaimed items will be used in library programs or possibly donated elsewhere.
