💔 SASHA’S SURGERY IS JUST 3 DAYS AWAY — AND WE ARE STILL $2,100 SHORT! 💔
It’s heartbreaking to rescue a puppy from being killed, only to struggle to raise the money needed to repair her severely broken leg.
Sasha is just 4 months old. She should be running, playing, and enjoying life as a puppy. Instead, she’s facing major orthopedic surgery that will require a plate and screws to repair her broken leg.
We made a promise to Sasha when we rescued her from the Devore Animal Shelter. We weren’t going to let her die simply because she was injured and needed expensive medical care.
But the lack of donations has been incredibly disheartening.
Her surgery is only 3 DAYS AWAY, and despite our repeated pleas for help, we are still $2,100 SHORT of covering her $4,000 surgical bill.
We are an all-volunteer, nonprofit rescue that depends entirely on donations. We don’t have unlimited funds. We don’t have wealthy financial backers. We have people who believe, as we do, that innocent animals deserve a chance to live.
Sasha didn’t choose to break her leg. She didn’t choose to end up in a shelter facing euthanasia. And she certainly doesn’t deserve to suffer because the money isn’t there to help her.
We stepped up when Sasha needed someone to save her life.
Now we’re asking you to step up and help us give her the life we promised her.
🐾 21 people donating $100 would cover the remaining balance.
🐾 42 people donating $50 would get us there.
🐾 84 people donating just $25 would make her surgery fully funded.

💔 SHE SURVIVED THE SHELTER. NOW WE NEED YOUR HELP TO HEAL HER. 🐾❤️
When we rescued Flan, now lovingly known as Amiah, from the San Bernardino Animal Shelter, she was suffering from horrific skin conditions, painful sores, and bite wounds after being attacked by other dogs.
Rather than receiving the chance at a better life, she was facing euthanasia.
We refused to let that happen.
Today, Amiah is safe and beginning her new life in Northern California. But her road to recovery is far from over.
❤️ Amiah recently received yet another medicated bath to help soothe her irritated skin. She was also given a Cytopoint injection to help control the itching associated with her allergies.
Unfortunately, we still don’t know exactly what’s causing her skin problems.
Her veterinarian will likely recommend allergy testing to help identify the underlying triggers. That testing alone will cost approximately $800.
And that’s on top of the veterinary care and treatments she’s already receiving.
💔 Saving a dog from euthanasia is only the beginning. Giving that dog the medical care necessary to heal is where the real financial commitment begins.
We made a promise to Amiah when we rescued her. We weren’t simply going to save her from being killed. We were going to give her the opportunity to live a healthy, happy life.
But we cannot keep making these promises without your support.
🙏 PLEASE CONSIDER DONATING TOWARD AMIAH’S $800 ALLERGY TESTING.
Even $5, $10, or $20 will help us get closer to giving her the care she deserves.

💔 $5 FRIDAY — SASHA DESERVES A CHANCE TO LIVE WITHOUT PAIN! 🐾
Imagine being just 4 months old, suffering from a severely broken leg, and facing death simply because nobody was coming to save you.
That was Sasha’s reality at the Devore Animal Shelter.
When we learned about Sasha, we believed she was a pit bull puppy. We drove 180 miles to rescue her, only to discover she was actually a Basenji mix who had been misidentified by the shelter.
But did that make her life any less valuable? ABSOLUTELY NOT!
We made a commitment to save Sasha, and we weren’t about to turn our backs on her because of her breed.
Sasha needs major orthopedic surgery to repair her severely broken leg. Her veterinarian will need to place a plate and screws to stabilize the fracture, followed by a lengthy recovery.
💔 Her surgery is estimated to cost $4,000, and we’re still approximately $3,000 short!
Since her rescue, Sasha has also been struggling with diarrhea, adding another concern to an already difficult beginning.
Today, we’re asking 600 compassionate people to donate just $5 each. That’s all it would take to raise the remaining $3,000 for Sasha’s surgery.
🐾 PLEASE HELP US GIVE SASHA THE FUTURE SHE DESERVES!
Sasha doesn’t understand donations, medical bills, or why she ended up in a shelter with a broken leg.
She only knows she’s hurting and needs someone to help her.
We refuse to let her down.

💔 TWO DESPERATE PLEAS FOR HELP. TWO INNOCENT DOGS SENTENCED TO DIE. TWO LIVES WE REFUSED TO GIVE UP ON. 💔
The shelters sent out what we call “Hail Marys” for two dogs named Sasha and Flan.
These were last-minute, desperate pleas to rescue organizations to save their lives before they were killed.
Their crime? Being injured, sick, and in need of medical care.
🐾 SASHA — A four-month-old puppy sitting in the Devore Animal Shelter with a severely broken leg. She needed surgery, including a plate and screws, to give her a chance at walking normally again.
🐾 FLAN — A dog at the San Bernardino Animal Shelter who had been attacked by other dogs. Her body was covered in bite wounds, sores, and a painful skin condition. Rather than receiving the chance at recovery she deserved, she was facing euthanasia.
Two different shelters. Two different dogs. The same heartbreaking outcome awaiting them.
Both shelters were hoping a rescue would step forward.
But here’s what breaks our hearts.
Why does saving these animals depend on whether a rescue organization has enough money to say YES?
Why are dogs with treatable medical conditions facing death simply because they need veterinary care?
Southern California Pit Bull Rescue answered both pleas.
We drove 180 miles to save Sasha, only to discover she wasn’t even the pit bull mix the shelter had identified her as. But did that matter?
Absolutely not. We weren’t leaving a four-month-old puppy behind to die because she was the wrong breed.
And we weren’t going to turn our backs on Flan because her skin was in horrific condition.
We made a commitment to save them, and we kept it.
But saving their lives was only the beginning.
Sasha faces approximately $4,000 in surgery costs, and we are still thousands of dollars short. Flan also needs veterinary care, proper nutrition, and time to heal.
We saved them from the shelters. Now we need your help saving them from the injuries and suffering they endured.
We are an all-volunteer, nonprofit rescue that depends entirely on donations. Every time we answer one of these desperate pleas, we take on another enormous financial responsibility.
We cannot continue saying YES without your support.
🙏 PLEASE HELP US GIVE SASHA AND FLAN THE SECOND CHANCE THEY DESERVE.
Even $5 makes a difference.

The shelters sent out their Hail Marys. We answered. Now we’re sending out one of our own.
Please don’t let our plea for help go unanswered.
Because the next time a shelter sends out a desperate plea for a dog facing death, we want to be financially able to say YES again. 💔

23,000 followers, yet, we are struggling to raise the funds for a 4 month old puppy with a severely broken leg to have surgery
❤️ THANK YOU FOR HELPING SASHA — BUT WE STILL NEED $3,000! ❤️
Because of your kindness and generosity, Sasha is one step closer to getting the surgery she desperately needs. To everyone who has donated, shared her story, or offered words of encouragement, THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF OUR HEARTS! ❤️🐾
But we’re not there yet.
💔 We are still $3,000 short of the $4,000 needed for Sasha’s surgery.

When we drove 180 miles to rescue her, we discovered she wasn’t even the breed the shelter had identified her as. But how could we possibly turn our backs on her?
Her life mattered more than her breed.
We made a commitment to save Sasha, and we’re determined to give her the future she deserves.
Unfortunately, we cannot do this without your help.
🙏 If just 300 people donated $10, we could raise the remaining $3,000 needed for her surgery.
Please don’t assume someone else will donate. Every single dollar makes a difference.

❤️🐾 FROM A DEATH SENTENCE TO A NEW BEGINNING — FLAN HAS ARRIVED! ❤️🐾
Just days ago, Flan was sitting in a shelter, unwanted, injured, and facing the possibility of never making it out alive.
She had been attacked by other dogs, leaving her little body covered in bite wounds and suffering from a terrible skin condition.
Rather than getting the second chance she desperately deserved, Flan was scheduled to be killed.
We refused to let that happen. ❤️
Today, we’re thrilled to announce that Flan has safely arrived in Northern California, where she will begin her beautiful new life! 🏡🐾
No more shelter kennels. No more uncertainty. No more wondering whether tomorrow will be her last.
Instead, Flan has a future filled with love, compassion, healing, and the happiness every dog deserves.
Seeing dogs like Flan get a second chance is exactly why we founded Southern California Pit Bull Rescue.
Her life mattered when others were prepared to end it. And her life matters today.
To everyone who helped make Flan’s rescue possible, THANK YOU! ❤️
Unfortunately, rescues like Flan’s are becoming increasingly difficult because of the lack of donations. We cannot continue saving dogs facing death without your support.
Please consider donating $5, $10, $20, or whatever you can afford. Every dollar helps us give another innocent dog the same second chance Flan received.

We are approximately $3000 shy of covering her $4000 surgery bill to repair her broken leg. Please donate
💔 Last night, Sasha’s little body just couldn’t catch a break.
After everything she had already endured—the shelter, the fear, the pain of a severely broken leg—she spent her first night safe with us suffering from terrible diarrhea.
We kept looking at this little puppy and thinking, how much more is she supposed to endure?
She doesn’t understand why her leg hurts.
She doesn’t understand why she ended up in a shelter.
She doesn’t understand why she feels so sick.
She only knows that she hurts.
And now our hearts are breaking for another reason: so few people have stepped up to help her.
Yesterday, we drove 180 miles round trip to save a puppy we were told was a pit bull. When we arrived, we discovered Sasha isn’t a pit bull at all.
But there was a suffering puppy in front of us who needed someone.
What were we supposed to do—turn around and leave her there to die because someone mislabeled her breed?
We couldn’t. We wouldn’t.
Sasha may not be a pit bull, but her life is no less precious. Her pain is no less real. And she deserves to be saved just as much as any other dog.
She still needs approximately $4,000 in surgery to repair her badly broken leg, along with continued medical care.
We made Sasha a promise when we took her out of that shelter:
You are safe now.
You matter.
And we are not giving up on you.
But we cannot do this alone.
Please—$5, $10, $20. Anything helps. And if you truly cannot donate, please share Sasha’s story.
🙏 Please don’t scroll past this baby. She has already been passed over enough.
