Two Dogs Hiking

Nice windy day at Vasquez Rocks.

Took Pilot and Clancy to see Santa Paws tonight at PetSmart. This free photo event is fun and the staff are wonderful with the pups. Of course bought a few more toys and treats to put into their Christmas stockings.

Lovely hike along one our regular trails tonight with work mates. We haven’t been hiking in a while, this summer started early and was exceedingly hot. The shelties do not do well in the heat, even in warm weather, which is a change for us as the Borders still did well. Like this trail, plenty of shady spots and it is well groomed. Just a few bikes, but they are aware of the hikers and everyone shares the trail. And another plus, chance of snakes 🐍 is low. Still a few flies, so would recommend a repellent if you go.

Two shelties went hiking down along the shoreline this afternoon to look at the big waves. They both were impressed with the salt air and cool sand between their paws.

Pilot may say he doesn’t like his sister, but photos don’t lie.

Took advantage of a break in hurricane Hilary and walked down to the arroyo. From nothing to this in just a few hours. Awesome. Shelties agree!

We took advantage of the cooler weather and took Pilot and Clancy on a nice hike at Corriganville. Arrived at 6pm which is the perfect time of day, surface temps have cooled and the park is mostly shaded. Walked the loop trail and didn’t encounter another person. Pups and humans all enjoyed rhe evening out.
