We are almost ready for our summer RV trip! Got our Jayco RV and we are so happy!

I’m never wearing my Air Force uniform again, so instead of letting it sit in a closet, I turned it into a motorcycle vest for my husband for Father’s Day.
Now I need to know… do you think will like it?

Upgrading to a diesel truck has been more of a process than I expected.

Thankfully, Carvana made selling our old truck incredibly easy, and we found the right replacement at a dealership in Ohio.

After paperwork, logistics, and a few weeks of coordinating everything, the truck is finally here.

Now it’s time to install the hitch and get it ready to tow. Carvana

I just started reading Die With Zero by Bill Perkins, and honestly, it felt like someone put into words the way I’ve been trying to live my life.

The book isn’t about spending recklessly. It’s about realizing that money isn’t the only thing you should be investing in. Memories matter too.

Because one day, if we’re lucky, we’ll have the retirement savings we’ve worked so hard for. But there’s no guarantee we’ll still have the health, energy, or ability to do all the things we’ve been putting off until “someday.”

That’s why we’ve chosen to take the trips, chase the adventures, and make memories with our kids now—not after everything is perfectly planned.

You need money for retirement. Absolutely.

But you also need stories, experiences, and memories that will still be there long after the adventures themselves are over.

Six years ago, we rented a Cruise America RV during the pandemic to see what all the hype was about.

We were total newbies and honestly had no idea what we were doing. 😂

Fast forward six years, and now we own our own Jayco (such a great RV) and genuinely love the RV lifestyle. The camping, the road trips, the flexibility, and the memories we’ve made along the way.

Crazy how one rental RV turned into a whole new way of traveling for our family. 🚐❤️🏕️

Ever since I retired, I’ve had our family on a pretty strict budget. Every dollar we save is another dollar that can go toward our next adventure.

So when I realized African comfort food was costing about $120 a week for a surprisingly small amount of food, I immediately said:

“I can make that.”

A few YouTube videos later, a trip to the international market, and suddenly I’m in the kitchen making African dishes for my husband.

The things we’ll do to save money for travel! 🤩

We are really itching to get our Jayco RV on the road for another adventure!
