My father has always told me that if I wanted to be successful, I have to trust God, do everything to the best of my ability, never give up, never make excuses, and go for it.

Then he said, God will take care of the rest.

I forget that every now and then.

But when I remember my father’s words, I dig in, do the work, and leave the rest for God to handle. (Late-night work on vacation — still counts.)

Now I teach my son the same thing because I know it works. I’ve seen how it has work for my father.

And now I’m telling you.

Stop making excuses for yourself.

Trust God. Lean on Him — even if you’re not sure what you believe — and watch what He can do.

You have nothing to lose by trusting God. You’ve trusted a lot of other things.
