Hi All, I am participating in a free event in honor of Mental Health Awareness Month. If you are local come with a donation or 2 and learn about mental health and organizing while decluttering.
The Details:
What: NAPO WDC GO Month Event
When: Thursday, May 14, 2026 | 9:30 AM – 11:00 AM
Where: Silver Spring Civic Center (Silver Spring, MD)
Cost: Free for guests (Registration required)
What to Expect: I will be sharing insights on how professional organizing supports community members living with mental and emotional health challenges. Whether you’ve worked with me in person or we’ve connected virtually, I’d love for you to join us for coffee, pastries, and some great conversation about creating mindful, supportive spaces.
We are asking attendees to bring items to donate to Habitat Restore. It’s a great way to clear out some "pre-loved" items while supporting a fantastic community partner.

🧠 Does organizing feel like a mental marathon? >
For many of my clients navigating ADHD or chronic disorganization, the hardest part isn't moving the boxes; it's the "executive function" required to keep the momentum going.
That’s why every One to Zen session includes a Session Summary. Think of it as your "External Brain", a clear, sequenced plan that reduces between-session anxiety and captures your wins.
Ready to clear the mental fog and create a space that supports your unique mind?

Ever find it hard to "picture" your goals or remember faces? 🤔 You might have Aphantasia or Hypophantasia, a lesser-known neurological trait that impacts how we visualize.
As a professional organizer with hypophantasia, I've discovered unique ways to create order and achieve goals without a "mental blueprint." My latest blog post dives deep into how this works and offers systematic strategies for daily life.
If you struggle with traditional visualization techniques, this is for you! ✨

Winter storm. Warning: instead of buying toilet paper, which you probably have aplenty, consider writing a power outage plan and keeping it for weeks like the one to come.
As you can see, I need to create a new copy because mine has a bunch of updates. For example, we have a dog now so I need to find a hotel that is pet friendly. We also have some battery backup chargers for our phones so we need to charge them as well as our phones and laptops.
Stay calm, stay cozy, and stay safe!
