One of the funky, warm, cozy independent business's that is a fixture in Downtown Silver Spring. Want to go to a place with the happy vibe? The two sisters who own and work at the Kefa Cafe have been there for over 15 years now. The sisters, Lene and Abeba Tsegaye are beloved by the neighborhood and give off the aura of peace and friendliness in the hectic, bustling urban environment of Downtown Silver Spring. Kefa is small or as we say in the Real Estate Business Adorable, Cute and Cozy. There are maybe 5-8 tables max. This little nook definitely has a neighborhood feel, with photos and flyers on the walls and the two much-loved sisters always behind the counter. There are cheery touches everywhere. There are no couches or Wi-Fi. The menu is on a few hanging chalkboards and is comprised of hot and iced coffees/lattes and teas, breakfast sandwiches on croissant or bagel, and lunch soups & sandwiches They also have some awesome gelato and pastry trays.
