My youngest student next to me and my bass student in back. The two high school graduates (who played Brahms, Grieg and Smooth Criminal!) with their photo from when they were just starting cello; I will miss them very much!

Congratulations to the cellists and bassist who performed on Sunday in the recital, en masse and solo - very inspiring and gratifying to hear everyone's progress!

Several cello families and I heard the most inspiring concert yesterday. As part of the International Cello Festival at Towson U, Amit Peled performed Brahms, Beethoven and Haydn with searing emotion and impeccable technique. Fantastic accompaniment was provided by 6 of his students for the Haydn Concerto in C and the concert began with a cello choir performing Villa Lobos BB #1. The best way to spend an afternoon, listening to accomplished cellists perform great music. If the chance arises, don't miss hearing Amit Peled!
