A shot of downtown Chicago this week. It's interesting that Trump Tower is the tall building at the end in the center of the shot. You may be able to see his name on it, obviously in very large, oversized lettering...

Cruising through Chicago...

A takeoff of "Fat Albert," the Lockheed C-130 Hercules aircraft used by the US Navy Blue Angels and the 82nd Airborne, immediately after a heavy rain storm. Hence, the beautiful spiral effect of the prop wash at "wheels up" about 30 feet off the runway. First introduced into service in 1956 and repeatedly upgraded thereafter, I've personally made many jumps out of this aircraft while assigned to the 82nd Airborne Division. It is known as "the workhorse."

A shot of Taormina, Sicily from my hotel balcony in 2013. In the distance is Mount Etna, still expressing its much active volcanic attitude, hence the elongated plume drifting to the right of its crest. Etna is one of the most active stratovolcanoes in the world and is in an almost constant state of activity, as seen here. It is also the tallest active volcano in Europe.
