2019 Hate Crime Training Series Over the past few years, there has been a national uptick in hate crimes and bias-related incidents. Recent reports of hate or bias in Maryland reflect this alarming trend, with 398 reports in 2017 alone—a 35% increase from 2016. This training series, which will take place over the course of 2019

Learn about hate crimes and bias incidents at the Defining Hate training this Sunday, Feb. 17th, organized in partnership with Communities United Against Hate - Montgomery County. The training will be led by the Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights Under Law and will cover recent trends in hate crimes, relevant laws, and recommendations for what to do if you experience or witness hate.
