One of the DMV's most exciting emerging blues acts, Nella B. & The Noise delivers a high-energy blend of traditional blues, soul, funk, and heartfelt storytelling. Led by Washington, DC native and Prince George's County resident Donnella "Nella B." Rucker, the band has quickly earned a reputation for dynamic performances that get audiences dancing, singing, and smiling.

The "Noise" features Anthony "BassMan" Rucker on bass and musical direction, Paul Pinkham and David Roy on guitars, Jay Walden on drums, and Liz Lohr on keyboards. Together, they draw inspiration from blues legends such as Etta James, Koko Taylor, and Ma Rainey while adding Nella B.'s distinctive style, grit, humor, and soulful vocals.

Formed from neighborhood jam sessions during the pandemic, the group has rapidly risen through the regional blues scene, winning the 2025 DC Blues Society Battle of the Bands and earning a coveted invitation to compete at the prestigious International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Tennessee.
