Congratulations to the CREA Class of 2025, our largest exiting class in CREA history!

This group has been such a dedicated and motivated group of students.

This ceremony was bittersweet, celebrating each student’s hardwork yet having to say goodbye to them and so many of our extraordinary staff members!

CREA is a family and this is just one reflection of the love and support we all have towards each other!

Special thank you’s:

To Mr Chris Hypnotyc and DJ Horacio who provided the DJ services at no cost.

To La Casita Pupuseria Silver Spring who donated over 100 pupusas and trays of yuca to complement the ceremony’s dinner.

To Identity and Lucila Cordero for providing beverages for the ceremony but more importantly for providing support services to our students and staff.

To Steve Boden: Thank you Jefe! For your trust and direction; for supporting our staff and students and making sure our vision for CREA materialized.

To Leticia Schoenthal, the heart of the CREA program: you are a reflection of love and care; your special touch is evident in every detail of our celebrations, activities and every day interactions. The CREA program will never be the same without you and each one of us that have had the pleasure of knowing you, are better because of you!

To Dr. Lindsay Walberg: to say you have been the reason CREA is what it is is an understatement. The cohesiveness, the success of each student, the growing achievements of CREA as a whole have happened because of your leadership. You encompass the passion and commitment everyone wishes for in a leader. It has been a true honor to work with you and learn from you! Thank you!

And lastly to our students:

YOU are the reason everything was worth it! Thank you for embracing CREA and being the most fundamental part of it. Always remember that your dreams are right there at your reach. JAMAS SE RINDAN! We love each and every one of you!

CREA will ALWAYS be a family, always!

International Night at CREA was amazing!

Lots of yummy food, fun games and music!

A special thank you to Omar Lazo of Los Chorros Restaurant for the pupusa donation to make sure El Salvador was well represented!

Dessert was brought to CREA by a generous donation of flancakes by Gaby Argoti-Fernandez. We are all big fans of the tres leches flancake! Thank you!

And the winning country being represented tonight was NICARAGUA! 🇳🇮

When the teacher promises a pizza party if everyone passes the next test, everyone studies hard and passes the test!

Who knew there were so many different names for hand tools!? These kids do!
