Tonight’s the night! Our generous friends at Mahj4Good are hosting an American Mahjong fundraiser in support of our work this evening at 6:30 pm at Church of the Ascension, 633 Sligo Ave, Silver Spring, MD.

All experience levels are welcome!

Beginner Ticket – $60
Perfect for those brand new to the game or in need of a refresher. Learn the tiles, setup, flow of play, and how to use the NMJL card while being guided through at least one full game.

Open Play Ticket – $30
Designed for those ready to play independently or with more experience, while still having facilitators available to answer questions.

We’re excited to share that our friends at Mahj4Good will be hosting an American Mahjong event/fundraiser in support of our work on Saturday, September 13th in Silver Spring!

From Mahj4Good: All experience levels are welcome. If you're a beginner, you will learn about the tiles, game set up, flow of play and NMJL card, as we guide you through at least one full game of play. If you have experience you'll be paired up with others who know how to play at your own pace. Play as many rounds as you'd like to fit into the event time!

Beginner Ticket: $60
The beginner seats are perfect for newbies and those who played once upon a time and need a full refresh.

Open Play Ticket: $30
The open play seats are great for those who are ready to level up their game and play a bit more independently and seasoned players alike.

It’s a gorgeous day here at 707 Ritchie Avenue! Our tool and community sale is underway, so come on over!

We’ve got merch for sale on the front porch; tools of all kinds inside and in the back shed; baked goods, burgers, hot dogs, quesadillas, and fries for sale out back; and a variety of vendors selling clothing, housewares, bath bombs, toys, and other treasures!

We are thrilled to announce that the Metropolitan Community Club (MCC) of Montgomery County has generously designated AbodesJoy as one of the charities it will support through its 2024 holiday wreath sale!

These festively decorated 24” balsam ($45) and cedar ($48) wreaths will be sent directly to you (shipping is included in the price), or can be sent with a holiday message to your family and friends! Wreaths are typically delivered the week after Thanksgiving.

To order, please send an email that includes the following information to Vicki Dorman ([email protected]) by November 1, 2024:

- Name of recipient
- Address (including zip code)
- Type of wreath (balsam or cedar)
- 10-word message maximum, including your name
- Name, phone number, and email of the person placing the order

MCC is also offering undecorated 22” balsam wreaths for $25, with an optional bow (red or plaid), for *local delivery* by club members. To order, please send an email by November 1 to [email protected], indicating the number of wreaths you are ordering, type of bow(s) if needed, your name, and your address for local delivery.
