With gua sha, more pressure doesn’t mean better results. Gentle, intentional strokes can help reduce puffiness, encourage lymphatic movement, and leave your skin looking refreshed.

Add a little facial oil or serum for slip and let the tool glide—never scrape.

One small habit. Better skin.

We call it our “no-peel peel,” but don’t let the nickname fool you—there’s some sophisticated chemistry inside that little vial.

BioRePeel is a professional biphasic peel containing a blend of exfoliating acids and skin-supporting ingredients.

Inside you’ll find:

• 35% TCA
• Lactobionic Acid — PHA
• Salicylic Acid — BHA
• Tartaric Acid — AHA
• Citric Acid — AHA
• Amino acids
• Vitamins C + B2

Rather than relying on just one acid, the formula takes a multi-ingredient approach to improving the appearance of:

• Dullness
• Uneven texture
• Fine lines
• Congestion
• Uneven pigmentation
• Overall skin radiance

And one of the reasons our clients love it?

Minimal visible peeling and downtime compared with what many people expect from a chemical peel.

BioRePeel is proof that a peel doesn’t have to leave your face visibly shedding for days to be part of a corrective skincare plan.

Available at Spa 31. Ask our skincare professionals whether BioRePeel is appropriate for your skin and your goals.

Your heart has some help moving blood through your body.

The muscles in your calves are sometimes called the “second heart” because every time they contract, they compress the veins in your lower legs and help push blood upward—against gravity and back toward your heart.

It’s called the calf muscle pump, and it’s one reason something as simple as movement matters so much.

When we sit or stand still for long periods, that pumping action decreases and blood and fluid can pool in the lower legs.

The good news? It doesn’t take a workout to wake it back up.

Try:

• taking a short walk every hour
• doing 10–20 calf raises while you wait for your coffee
• flexing and pointing your feet under your desk
• taking the stairs when you can
• moving your ankles during long car rides or flights

These little movements support venous return, circulation and fluid movement throughout the lower body.

Your body was designed to move—and sometimes the smallest movements are doing far more beneath the surface than we realize.

Wellness isn’t built in a day… it’s woven into every day.

You’ve heard of AHAs and BHAs…but have you met a PHA?

LACTOBIONIC ACID

Lactobionic acid belongs to a group of exfoliating ingredients called polyhydroxy acids—or PHAs.

Like AHAs, PHAs help loosen dull, dead cells at the skin’s surface. But lactobionic acid has a larger molecular structure, so it works more gradually at the surface while also offering humectant and antioxidant properties.

That makes it an especially interesting ingredient in a professional peel formula.

What does it do?

• Supports gentle surface exfoliation
• Helps improve rough, uneven texture
• Attracts moisture to the skin
• Provides antioxidant support
• Helps promote a smoother, brighter-looking complexion

Look for it on the label as:
Lactobionic Acid

In the Spa 31 treatment room:
BioRePeelCl₃

BioRePeel isn’t simply a TCA peel. Its biphasic formula combines 35% TCA with lactobionic acid, salicylic acid, tartaric acid, citric acid, amino acids and vitamins for a multi-ingredient approach to skin rejuvenation.

Pro tip: Don’t assume stronger exfoliation always means better exfoliation. Different acids have different molecular sizes and properties—which is why professional formulas often combine several types strategically.

Beyond the Label takeaway:
AHA. BHA. PHA. They’re all acids—but they’re definitely not all doing exactly the same thing.

Medical Massage vs. Regular Massage: What’s the Difference?

Not every massage has the same goal.

Sometimes you book a massage because you want to relax, and unwind. Other times, you’re dealing with a specific problem—persistent neck pain, headaches, limited mobility, an injury, TMJ discomfort, or another condition that’s affecting how you feel and function.

That’s where medical massage takes a more targeted approach.

A traditional wellness massage may focus on:

• Relaxation and stress relief
• General muscle tension

Medical massage begins with a more specific goal.

Your therapist considers your health history, symptoms, movement patterns, areas of restriction, and what you’re trying to accomplish. The session may then incorporate different techniques based on those findings.

Depending on your needs, that could include:

• Myofascial techniques
• Trigger-point therapy
• Neuromuscular techniques
• Scar-tissue work
• Lymphatic drainage
• Stretching and mobility work
• Focused therapeutic massage

Medical massage may be appropriate as supportive care for concerns such as chronic muscular pain, headaches, TMJ/TMD, postural strain, restricted mobility, repetitive-use injuries, scar tissue, and certain recovery needs. It can also complement care from physicians, physical therapists, chiropractors, dentists, and other healthcare professionals when appropriate.

At Spa 31, we believe there’s a place for both relaxation-focused and more clinically focused massage.

Minute Takeaway

The difference isn’t how hard we press. It’s the goal of the session, the assessment behind it, and the techniques chosen to address your individual needs.
