As a business owner, I recently reviewed the data Pinterest collects through my account

As a programmer and someone who's dove deep into the tech work, data collection is something that becomes well known. What stood out wasn’t just that data is collected - it was how detailed it becomes once you actually see it laid out

The report included:
• content I searched, saved, and engaged with
• interaction patterns (what I clicked and how long I viewed it)
• device and IP-based location data
• inferred interest profiles built from behavior
• advertising and tracking signals tied to activity

Like most modern platforms, Pinterest doesn’t just reflect what you interact with - it builds a behavioral profile around it that’s used for recommendations and advertising. It's ALWAYS about advertising

After reviewing this, I made the decision to remove Pinterest from my business workflow

The purpose of this post is awareness, not alarm! As I continue tightening up my own brand and digital presence, I want to be more intentional about the tools I use and what data is being generated behind the scenes

Going forward, I’ll also be sharing practical ways to reduce tracking, limit unnecessary data sharing, and tighten your privacy settings across platforms so you can stay more in control of your digital footprint

Not telling anyone what to use or avoid, because they're all the same, but I'm just sharing what I’m learning and how I’m applying it

Today marks a milestone I've been working toward for a long time ✅

What started as an idea, a laptop, some loyal friends and family, and A LOT of late nights has officially become an LLC! 🎉

There have been moments of uncertainty, lessons learned the hard way, and plenty of hours spent building when nobody was watching. Every challenge has helped shape the business into what it is today

I'm incredibly grateful to everyone who has trusted me, supported me, referred me, encouraged me, and believed in what I'm building

This isn't the finish line, but another step forward.

I had the pleasure of building a custom website for Derek Lux, and this was a really enjoyable project to bring to life! Derek has an incredible background in performance, creativity, live entertainment, and speaking, so I created something that felt clean, professional, and true to who he is.

My goal with this website was to give him a strong online presence where people can easily learn more about him, explore his work, and get in touch for future opportunities. I kept the design polished and modern while making sure his personality and experience still came through.

Happy Easter, Beyond Website Design family! Today is one of the most important days as a Christian; the day Jesus defied even death itself ✝️

I can imagine the chills that must have run down the enemies of Jesus's spine as He walked through the streets of Galilee, the fear of the government officials, and the regret of those who didn't believe the miracles of Jesus

On the flip side, the joy those who believed in Him must have felt to see their King had risen from the grave! Just 3 days ago, Jesus was beaten, tortured, and slain, BUT EVEN THE GRAVE HOLDS NO POWER OVER HIM, PRAISE THE LORD!

Matthew 28:3-6: And his appearance was like lightning, and his clothing as white as snow. The guards shook for fear of him and became like dead men. The angel said to the women, "Do not be afraid; for I know that you are looking for Jesus who has been crucified. He is not here, for He has risen, just as He said. Come, see the place where He was laying."

The same power, the same Spirit who rose from the grave, performed miracles, and died for our sins, is the same Spirit who lives in us today. That is what is so powerful about Easter and about Jesus; it's not about religion, but about the relationship we have with Jesus, and the closer you are to Jesus, the closer you are to the Heavenly Father.

I pray that you have a blessed Easter, and never forget that no matter what you're going through, Jesus is by your side, and He's experienced more than humanly imaginable 💪
