Today we remember Richard A. Whiting, born this day in 1891. In his short but prolific career, he composed numerous standards including "Hooray for Hollywood," "Ain't We Got Fun?" and the beloved tune "Till We Meet Again" which sold over eleven million copies and remains the all-time best selling piece of sheet music. In 1970, Whiting was selected for the inaugural class of inductees into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
We're proud to house the Richard A. Whiting collection, which includes his beautiful Steinway piano.
