Top 5 for our Vervantis Inc this weekend at Sebring International Raceway. We struggled a bit throughout the week to find a place where the car was super happy. Track was super greasy come race day, but I enjoyed getting to use all the in-car adjustments in this new Ford Performance to try and stay ahead of the conditions over the course of a stint. The McCumbee McAleer Racing crew always brings their A-game, but this weekend especially they showed resilience through great strategy calls and wicked fast pit stops. Overall quite pleased to leave with a 5th place finish and some valuable championship points. Onto Laguna in a couple months! ⛲️

2025 Ford Performance Junior Driver… I’ve had about 30 days to think about writing this post and how I would try to put how much this means to me into words, yet still don’t have much 🙂

“I’ve been dreaming of this moment my whole life” is a statement that I feel race car drivers through around pretty loosely (I’m sure I’ve even said it once or twice). But last night was undoubtedly fitting for that statement.

I want to give a big thank you to Ford and Ford Performance. I’ve been fortunate enough to work alongside them for the last two years, and from day one - no matter who it was or what position - everyone took the time to share some of their knowledge or answer a question when I asked. The family atmosphere at Ford became apparent to me at my first race, and it’s amazing to finally be apart of it officially.

These last few days have been a pleasure getting to meet my teammates and everyone else apart of this program. I’m now even more so looking forward to 2025.

Let’s go win some races.

Third times the charm 🏁

The last two years at Daytona International Speedway, we were on target for at least a top 5 (if not a podium/win) with 10 minutes to go… and both years we ended with a puncture. It was such a disheartening way to start the season knowing we were on the back foot for the rest of the championship.

But this year was a little different 🙂 Our Vervantis Inc had speed as soon as we rolled it off the trailer for the Roar. No doubt we wanted a little more, but p4 was like a win for the McCumbee McAleer Racing crew. We’ve come a long way in just one year with this car thanks to the help from everyone at Ford Performance and Multimatic Motorsports! Can’t wait for Sebring.

Not the race we were hoping for today. Nonetheless, Im thankful for what I was able to learn and getting to take on more of the responsibilities over the weekend. Have to give a big thank you to Chad McCumbee Racing as he’s really pushed me to improve on giving solid feedback and just overall knowledge of how a race car works these last 2 years. It’s become one of my favorite parts of racing and makes it that much more fun and rewarding when you get it right :). Still an awesome debut for Nate dawg in his first Pilot Challenge race, been a great couple weeks working with him.

Thanks to the whole team for all the hard work as always! Looking forward to the last race of the season.

We’ve got some unfinished business to take care of this weekend at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Last year we did not have the car we needed to fight for a podium, but we did have the strategy to do so. Unfortunately a late race caution changed what could’ve been, but I was (and still am) blown away at the race Big Joe and created for us.

New year.
New platform.
New possibilities.

I hold myself to a higher standard than the performance I delivered yesterday. I let the excitement get the best of me after realizing just how competitive we were, and didn’t compensate for the falloff that I knew was coming. Sorry to the whole McCumbee McAleer Racing team for what could have and should have been a better result.

Despite a gearbox issue for the second hour of the race, Chad McCumbee Racing and the whole crew did a great job to salvage p9. Loved seeing all 3 Ford Performance cars finish inside the top 10. Excited to get to Indianapolis Motor Speedway and redeem myself. Thank you to Vervantis Inc and everyone else for always supporting me.
