I used to get annoyed when my wife didn’t tidy the house or stay as consistent as me with things.

I expected her to pull more weight than she did and a lot of this was around doing the washing, cleaning, helping out around the house and looking after the children.

I didn’t see them as my responsibility.

Therefore I resented her when she didn’t do them and left them for me to do.

The reality was, I was expecting my wife to do all the things my mother had done for me as a child.

I didn’t want to grow up.

And then got annoyed about it.

Emotional maturity comes through changing our behaviour and how we show up in the world.

Look at how many men you know who are in their 30’s and 40’s still doing what they did at 16-20!

There is no growth.

No maturity.

Hence they see their wife as their mother.

Changing this starts by changing yourself.

Your habits, behaviours and daily disciplines.

If you’re not willing to do this, be happy with the state of your relationship as it will not improve.

The process is simple, but it takes consistent effort for a sustained period of time until it becomes the new norm.

It’s the exact process I take men through in the Primal 111 Program.
