Introducing Seraphim Sailor Scout Sisters Squad!

This project concept is *quite* different than anything else I've done before. It's been in the back of my mind for a while and I finally did some work on it while I took a break from the Black Templar army this weekend.

I'm not sure if I'll end up using a Seraphim squad or not. I've got a few other ideas on what units to actually use, but I have until after LVO as that's when I'll be starting it. Happy Hobbying everyone!

Base just needs a tiny bit of touchup after handling + some varnish, and just waiting on transfers but this Black Templar Primaris Apothecary is otherwise done!

Triumph of St. Katherine is finally complete! The different components are all blue-tacked in place as this was shipped back in several pieces. Details are all freehand work, no transfers used. Had a lot of fun working on this, and learned a lot as well in the process!
(The rock/debris by St. Katherine DID get painted and highlighted. It just wasn’t done when the photos were taken)

NOVA Open has grown and thrived since its inception in 2009, with the exception of the last two years (thanks to the pandemic). Our ramp up costs to the 2020 convention were conservative, but the Refund Campaign succeeded in getting us to May 2021 as planned.

Having to cancel 2021, though, creates another COVID hardship for NOVA Open. To keep us afloat and on track to reaching May 2022, we need the community's help once more. We have done and will continue to do everything we can to bounce back, but revenue must flow!

Really enjoying how this Triumph model is turning out! Still struggling a bit with cloth (especially white cloth) but getting better each time

Starting to get a little over here! Experimenting/practicing weathering and battle damage on some these days. Not totally done with this guy yet but happy with how it’s looking so far!

I made a quick video showing my process for painting yellow and white over darker colors! Also showed those colors over a black primer for comparison. Keep those colors crisp!

A brief talk through of how I paint lighter colors — namely yellow and white — over black or dark base colors. I’ve only ever tried this method with the three metallic paints I mention in the video, paired with regular acrylic hobby paints. Haven’t yet tried this with shades or inks, or with other brand metallics, but would love to see your results if you experiment at all! #VirtualHobbyBuddy
