I made this print a year ago. Inspired by the texture of exterior stained glass. The side you never really see. I noticed it walking by the church in my neighborhood. All of the lines converging in a way that looks woven.

I’m envisioning the blue being a raised, semi-gloss texture that captures light and evokes a tactile experience. Ever since I started working on color, material, and finish on hardgoods vs soft goods, it’s all I can think about! Texture texture texture.

13 miles in the mountains with .cam91

We’ve hiked the in the commonwealth basin area a bunch, but have never been up to the Katwalk. It was such a gorgeous hike and fun to see some thru hikers on the PCT.

Nature was showing off with the beginnings of fall colors. Lots of berries and flowers around.

Hey! Hi! I know I’ve been MIA this summer. Between starting a new full-time job (what!) and many trips around WA/MN, I haven’t had much time to post.

Here’s a few from my camera roll that sums it all up. Lots of floral inspiration on my daily walks & hikes. Print and pattern everywhere! A random screenshot of a color palette I loved.

I had a lovely conversation with my dear friend last week about what I’ve been up to, and it reminded me about my creative process… I tend to work in cycles. Summer, for me, is all about adventures and soaking up as much inspiration as I can. I’m saving up colors, shapes, and textures to my brain so when fall and winter come around, I can get to making sense of all that I saved up. Anyone else work in the same way?

I’ve been feeling off about what to share here. I’m really bad at capturing & sharing my life when I’m out there living it. But I’d really like to share more. How do you make it feel natural?

And yes, full-time job after a decade of being freelance. I’m doing production art over at and it’s been great so far! I’m still collaborating with brands I love & licensing my work, I just needed less pressure and more stability in this season of life. It’s only been two-ish months, so it’s fresh, but I’m starting to feel a rhythm where I can tap into creating more for myself.

Looking forward to fall. Lots of craft workshops on the horizon and a trip back to MN for my mom’s birthday 💕 life is good!

🚨 alert! This is a 3 for 1! I’ve been working on a block print floral for the design challenge and it just so happened I needed a harlequin diamonds print for ’s 🎉

I love the combination of the two! I also created a textural print for the texture prompt from an old painting that I found buried in my sketchbook. The color palette was inspired by this interior that I found on ❤️

It’s a wonderful feeling to absorb so many things and create something of your own.
