This week I celebrated another lap around the sun. Looking back on the past year, one moment stood out above all others: Oasis • Wembley • 7.30.25.
I feel like I willed this moment into existence.
I booked the London trip before I even had a concert ticket. No plus-one, no real plan… just a gut feeling it would all work out. And it did.
Oasis at Wembley was fu***ng magic… loud, euphoric, and historic.
One unforgettable sing-along with 90,000 true fans.
Trust me: if you can’t find anyone to go with you… go anyway.
Because this year showed me that even if I have to do a lot of things alone, I can still make my dreams come true. 💫

Wow - this week marks 3 years with / !
Working in the music industry right now feels like such a privilege, especially as the business changes so rapidly. Every morning, I write in my gratitude journal and make sure to include something I’m thankful for about this job. Because, you see, this job- in music, in this city, in this state, is my happy place. 💕

For almost 11 years Bubba was the only constant in my life… a year ago today we said our final goodbye. Saying he’s missed really doesn’t cover it…

In my opinion, one of the keys to becoming a successful woman is tenacity. But we don’t have to do it all on our own. When we surround ourselves with the right mentors and friends, there are no limits to how much we can achieve.
Someone once told me that men are hired for their potential, and women are hired based on their achievements. If you think about it, I’m sure you can recall many examples of this in your own professional life/field. But, throughout my life in both my industry and others, I’ve seen women supporting women and always helping each other succeed. I believe this team mentality, coupled with tenacity and grit, is why women continue to succeed and achieve despite how much brighter we have sometimes had to shine in order to get the same opportunities as men. The great thing is we can see things are getting better. It’s not just women supporting women; many men also believe we deserve opportunities and are helping. Some moments feel like 3 steps forward and 2 steps back, but like my friend says, progress and change take time, and as I wrote earlier, women are tenacious, so I know we will get there!
On a personal note - I’m proud of how much I have accomplished in my radio career since my first internship in high school roughly 25 years ago and thankful for all the women and men who have helped me along the way. I’m also lucky to know women and men who continue to push me to improve and grow. Just last night, my friend reminded me to never get complacent and to always strive for more, and that’s how she became a CFO at 40.
When I look around, most women I see are independent, intelligent, strong, and living fulfilling lives. I see so many women today who are proud that their mothers taught them never to rely on a man for their livelihood. Because of this, they have achieved so much more than so many of their mothers ever could. It’s truly impressive. Simultaneously, we do have to acknowledge that the current political climate has led to a chaotic and scary time for women. Regardless, (repeating myself) women are tenacious, and we will figure this out. We always do. I’m proud of us. Happy !

Just in time for everyone who’s tired of 2023 recaps … here’s mine!
2023 was a beautiful chaotic mess. For much of the year it felt like I was in survival mode, especially after losing Bubba. But the tough times and loss were surrounded by great moments with friends and family, at work, and in love. I think we all get a little stronger with each year that passes and we all start to realize the hard times create more gratitude for the good ones. But no matter what happens, we all keep going and that’s something to be proud of. 💕
