2016-2017 Houston World Championship Awards The official blog of the FIRST Tech Challenge - a STEM robotics programs for students grades 7-12.

Congratulations to all SAAS students who competed in the MATE Underwater robotics competition Saturday May 13th. SAAS fielded two teams, a Ranger and a Navigator class team. Blue Shift Navigators won the Team Spirit award and finished 3rd in the Navigator category at the event.

2856 FTC Tesseract is one of the four top judged FTC robotics teams in the WORLD. 2856 was one of the four finalists for the coveted Inspire Award at the World's Championship in Houston which took place April 19 - 22. The Inspire Award recognizes "a strong ambassador for FIRST programs... a top contender for many other judged awards and is a gracious competitor. The Inspire Award Winner is an inspiration to other teams...[and]...is able to communicate their experiences, enthusiasm and knowledge to other teams, sponsors, their community, and the Judges. Underwater robotics had a chance to visit Williamson and Associates in Ballard for a tour. They make deep sea scouting and drilling underwater robots. Check them out at http://www.wassoc.com/. We are grateful and had a great time.

2856 is on the finalist alliance for the Olympic division of the West Coast Super-regionals, 2nd place Motivate Award and advances to FTC World's in Houston!!!
