This special edition will shine a light on the lived experiences of those with sickle cell disease, bringing together medical professionals, researchers, policymakers, and community allies to foster innovative care models, equitable policies, and stronger support systems.
Program Highlights Include:
✨Personal Storytelling: Lisa Gardner shares her lived experience with sickle cell.
✨City Leadership: joins KD Hall to speak about community responsibility and equity in sickle cell care.
✨Hard Questions in Healthcare: A candid dialogue with a Medical Director, Social Worker, and a mother addressing best practices and gaps in care.
✨Historical Context: and KD Hall explore the legacy of Carolyn Downs and Corporate Partnership Spotlight: A 20-minute segment featuring Pfizer’s Chanell Grismore.
