Yes—you can see whales from Seattle 🐋 And summer is one of the best times to do it.
Orcas, humpbacks, and gray whales all move through the San Juan Islands during the season, making it one of the top whale-watching regions in the world.

Meet your guide: Marty 🌲🏔️
Marty has been guiding in the Mount Rainier region for over a decade, sharing one of the Pacific Northwest’s most iconic landscapes with guests from around the world.
For him, Rainier never gets old—each season brings something different, from wildflowers and waterfalls to deep winter snow and shifting alpine light. On tour, Marty blends natural history, Indigenous stories, and local geology with plenty of insight (and the occasional corny joke).
There’s no wrong time to experience Mt. Rainier—just different ways to be amazed.

Seattle isn’t just a city; it’s a gateway to some of the most iconic landscapes in the U.S. You can walk beneath ancient rainforest canopies, view volcanic craters, explore glacier-fed valleys, and wander sub-alpine meadows.
We can't wait to get out there with you this season!
