A “tree” Rex 😂, random pics at Christmas time, an atmospheric river, baking, Kraken hockey with my love, great coffee and the bestest cat alive.

4 years ago I made a promise to myself to do something that scares the s**t out of me every single year. This year I did two things 😂 Traverse over half way across PCT Knifes edge and 4th year of skydiving 🪂 Everyday is a gift. Thank you and you guys are the very best!!

Find yourself a great friend that will backpack with you, deal with your chaos 💩, push you to be a better human and still sort of love you at the end of everyday 😂 🖕🏼

The last few weeks have been sad for so many reasons, so disconnecting from reality and escaping to the woods came at a perfect time. It was an absolutely beautiful trip and a perfect way to end the 2025 backpacking season. I’m already missing it and so very excited for 2026! This song says it all, even in the madness, there is peace. Much love to you all ♥️

My sister-in-law (she was one of my BFFs before I married her brother) is one of my most favorite humans on this planet. Recently, (I’m paraphrasing) she said to me, “We need to do hard things often. This is my hard right now.” That THING was giving birth to a beautiful little girl that is over 9 pounds with no meds…🙃 I’m so proud of her and yeah, it kind of does deserve a badge of honor in this day and age.

I said I’d never, ever do it again-and yet here we are. South Sister you little ***** I hate you so much 😂 I said to myself, “alright, if my SIL can push out basically a small toddler with no meds, I can climb a damn walk up mountain 🙄.” Plus, she really likes this hike (nuts) and would have loved to come along. I vowed to not complain, to embrace the fact that I’m lucky as hell to be out here and have the ability to climb this mountain. I love life so very much. Let’s do hard things often. That’s where growth happens!

I think backpacking is the closest thing to being a kid again.
